Every night this week, I've woken up screaming.
I didn't even know vampires could dream but I've been having nightmares.
I need to find a job
Oh no, don’t do that! Stay in his way. He’ll love the company. There’s nothing Keegan loves more than having a pretty girl clinging to him. All. The. Time.
Yeah, somehow I'm not buying that.
Yep. Feeling much less homeless.
Thank God for work.
I, um, have something for you.
Sorry for making things so painfully awkward...I sort of made brownies. I bake when I'm stressed, but I can't eat them. Do you want them?
IP [Valentina and Sofiya|| April 1st]
[Sofyia had been around for centuries and had seen people react as the strange girl was. She figured it was because their instincts told them that she was dangerous, but their brains, sad and human and unimaginative as they are, fought against it. For this girl, it just seemed like she was always such a nervous wreck.]
Oh! Where for?
[This was news to Sofyia as hardly anyone who was the girls age liked to work and she herself hadn’t worked in a nearly fifty years. But that was a different time and she was a different person. If Sofa was being honest with herself, which she liked to think she always was, Sofyia was always fascinated with the people who were born during the time in which she was currently living.]
A book shop.
[She replied, giving the stranger a smile. Even as a recently-turned vampire, Valentina was still leading a relatively simple life. At least...she was trying to. For living in a place as strange as Falls Church, she figured she wasn't doing that poor a job.]
IP [Valentina and Derek || April 1st]
[Derek was throughly annoyed but at least she had stopped stuttering and he had worn his leather jacket so he was protected from the coffee that ruined her dress. He raised an eyebrow and nodded, wondering if she was going to continue to talk.]
Of course not.
[Great. She never failed to make herself look like a complete idiot in front of people she didn't know. Actually, she figured she looked like an idiot in front of most people regardless. She bit the inside of her cheek.]
If I admit that it was my fault, would you stop looking at me like you're going to bite out my trachea?
I, um, have something for you.
Uhm… Thank you, but I don’t really fancy coffee. Thanks for the offer though.
Right. My bad. Damn, this whole vampire thing sucks.
I, um, have something for you.
Yeah. I went to see if I could still enjoy a coffee as a vampire. The answer is no. Do you want the rest of it?
I, um, have something for you.
IP [Valentina and Derek || April 1st]
[Derek took walks around town as a way to combat his dislike of the town. He supposed it could have been a pretty place, if it wasn’t for the purpose it served. He hated that in the same year that he had lost his Alpha-ness, he was being forced here. He had protected Cora from her for as long as he could and now he had to hope that she and Peter were taking care of each other. He didn’t want this life for Cora. It hurt being away from her though he knew it was best. As he walked, Derek kicked rocks. Maybe this walking thing wasn’t a good idea. He sighed as his werewolf ears picked up on someone walking. He could tell it was a girl, but he figured that she would walk around him, as most people tended to do. Derek was surprised when he felt her small body bump into him. He stepped back as she did, irritated that she hadn’t thought to walk around him. His face turned stoney and his eyebrows did their thing as she stuttered out her apology. He didn’t bother talking. He knew from experience that people as young as her tended to ramble and sometimes it was amusing and others, usually where one Stiles Stilinski was involved, it annoyed the fuck out of him.]
[Valentina waited for a response, a sign that he wasn't going to hit her or something of the sort. However, she just seemed to have irritated him. Perfect. Blushing, she looked down, realizing she'd spilled coffee on her dress. She hurriedly covered it with her sweater; she hardly had any other clothing, and now she couldn't return it.]
Shoot. Look...sorry...I wasn't watching where I was going.
I need to find a job
Has Keegan been nice? Do I have to punch him? I’ll totally punch him.
N-no, that won't be necessary. I just try and stay out of his way.
IP [Valentina and Sofiya|| April 1st]
[Sofa was very unused to being bumped into. She generally thought of herself as a very graceful undead person, today was no exception. Seeing as it was eighteen degrees celsius, Sophie decided a walk was in order and had bypassed her car and left Spock to sleep since he had caught a cold. She had wisely chosen a red leather jacket and muted teal scarf combination to go over her white and grey baseball tee, skinny jeans and Doc Martens. She would have worn her favorite wedges, but the kind of walking, or, rather adventuring, she was prone to doing included the woods. She let out a soft oomph, but straightened up at lightening speed.]
It is fine. You meant no harm, I am sure, stranger. So, why are you all dressed up, if you don’t mind my asking?
[The bulgarian gave the dark haired girl a disarming smile as she ran her eyes over her body. Sofiya preferred to make everyone at ease in her presence as it made for easier conversation.]
[Valentina swallowed, surprised that the stranger was asking questions. However, she had nothing to hide...well...not that much to hide. Part of her expected the other girl to go off on her, or simply storm away. She seemed confident and well on her feet...all the things that Valentina wasn't.]
I just had a job interview.
IP [Valentina and OPEN || April 1st]
[Valentina walked down the street after her interview. She was used to walking everywhere, in town but had scored a pair of heels for her evaluation. She took them off and smoothed down her dress.]
I'm sure that went well.
[She took a deep breath. In all honesty, she was desperate for money. She had arrived in town with a few dollars in her pocket; that was all. Carrying her heels in her hand, she decided to head to the library. She didn't really have many other places to go to. Looking over her shoulder at the building she was walking away from, she bumped into someone, and her body immediately tensed, and she took a step back, shying away.]
I-I'm sorry.
I need to find a job
And get my ass off of Keegan’s couch.
You could always go look at restaurants and apply.
I'm thinking about taking two side jobs.
I need to find a job
And get my ass off of Keegan's couch.
So what sort of jobs are they offering around here?
Ah, so this is your real face! *she smiles*. It’s good to finally completely meet you.
It’s good to meet you too Valentina. How’s everything going for you?
I was really worried about you.
Yeah...look, I was a mess when I met you. But I'm doing okay. I actually found a place to live- temporarily, of course. I think I really annoy my roommate.
