"Can you move dude? You're getting in the way of my target."
"...Yes," the unfortunate witness agreed. Remembering a name in order to keep living seemed like a fair deal. "If anyone I know wants someone dead, I will refer them to you."
He might get out of this alive, but he still needed to leave the scene: someone would notice the body laying in the street and call the police---if they hadn't already. Investigators would eventually discover where the shot came from and he didn't want to be around for that.
"We should probably be going now."
Val chuckled. She always got a kick out of the ones she was able or unnerve or scare. She found it funny because the only ones she was a danger to were the ones who deserved it. "Yeah yeah." She spoke patting him on the back before leading the way away from the corpse. "Gotta correct ya though. Valentine ain't your average killer for hire. I mean I do that. Gotta eat and all but my targets are special." It was then she was skipping ahead of him. Making her way down the building. "I kill abusers. Sometimes when they hire me but mostly on my own. So you can relax."
