I feel this is more than an ear infection
Understandable. I’ll swing by in a bit with a bear, hows that?
I feel this is more than an ear infection
Sof’s fever spiked to 102, and she’s just miserable. Back to the ER we go…
Another spike? Any other symptoms?
I don’t know. She’s just really miserable and wants to cuddle with momma. She didn’t even argue this morning when I sent Cameron to preschool without her.
Sweet girl. I have a break soon, think she'd like some Val cuddles?

Three year olds for lease
Who wants?
Currently very cranky and I think Sof is getting an ear infection. Joy
I’m on tonight. Bring her into the ER, we’ll get her taken care of.
Thanks. And what will we do about Cameron who doesn’t want to listen to his momma?
Well, we'll figure that out. I'm sure we can keep him occupied while we take care of Sof.

Hey Aunt Val! You okay?
Yep, kiddo. Just tired. I’m back to taking care of babies in the NICU.
I got some candy in my bookbag! My mom says it makes me hyper. It might help wake you up a little.
Sure, I’ll take a piece. Thanks little one.
*reaches into her bag* I have a Snicker, some Reese’s cups and a couple of lollipops. I bought them at the snack stand after school. You have a preference?
Hmmmm… how about a Reese cup. That’ll give me some pep in my step.
*passes over Reese’s cup and pops a lollipop into mouth* How much longer is your shift? Maybe I can help out and you won’t be so tired?
A couple more hours, barring any emergencies. Want to help me with a couple of vital checks?

Never thought I'd see you Again.| Arizona, Morgan, Val & Owen
“Yeah, let’s go as soon as we can,” I agree. I figure we can feed the girls snacks on the plane and figure out a decent meal once we have landed. “I think we are all ready to go home.”
I nod in agreement. "Yes, indeed. Its time for your meds soon, Owen." The officers gather the bags of items they have for the girls, and hand them to me. They offer help, bundling them up as well. One officer steps forward and speaks, "It would be an honor if we could escort you all back to the airport, if that's alright?"

I snuggle her close from another moment longer, knowing I need to give Arizona a chance to properly greet Chloe. We hopefully have the rest of our lives to love on this little girl. She doesn’t seem any worse for the wear after this ordeal.
I look to an officer and ask for kleenexes, who hands me a box. I grab a handful and move a little closer to the parents and kids. I hear Victoria ask for Alex, and watch as Morgan continues to cover her in kisses. "Your daddy is waiting and resting. Taking a nap." I nod, offering Morgan tissues.
I make a mental note of the expression on Arizona's face when she saw Owen flinch. He'll need an extra dose of pain medication for the trip home.

“Hello sweet girl,” I whisper the moment I take Victoria into my arms. I kiss the top of her head and hug her tighter than I have ever in her life. I am not sure I will ever be able to let her go again. “Mommy missed you.”
I make sure Owen is steady, and move aside so that he can take a seat. I watch him reach and open his arms as Chloe moves from Arizona to him, the tension that he's carried is all but gone.

I’m not even sure I allow the car to stop completely before I am pushing the door opened. I want to hold my girl in my arms again and know this isn’t for nothing. I shove my hands in my pockets and wait for everyone else to exit the SUV. We brought their car seats with us and diaper bags. We are taking them home.
Morgan all but tumbles out of the car, I quickly hop out, helping Arizona out first and then Owen. We quickly make our way inside, I see the expressions of the officers in the precinct go from all business to smiles, and excitement as they motion us all back to the room where the girls are waiting, I overhear them explaining how they've all pitched in and helped entertains them and such while they waited for us to arrive.
