Q in No Time to Die talking about his date.

It’s such a small line which can easily be dubbed in different countries but it means a lot to me. James Bond is one of the biggest franchises and having a recurring character in the films/books that’s been made queer is kinda big.

Mind you, we still have a long way to go and this is the easiest way to give us the minimum queer representation but it’s better than other franchises. We never really learn about characters life besides Bond and the Bond girls so it’s rare anyway. But hearing Q say it, a beloved character, is heart warming.

It was also no big deal in the film. It was just Q preparing his date that got interupted by Bond and Moneypenny. They also didn’t look up when he used male pronouns which can mean 2 things. Q trusts them enough that he came out to them or they didn’t know but didn’t question it (because why should they anyway). And I’m literally fine with both, but I definitely prefer the first one.

I’m 100% sure that we have to thank Ben for this and I just know that this also means a lot to him. It’s a small step but it’ll definitely not be the last step to more queer representation. Thank you so much Ben <3
