She didn't realize it, but she noticed that some other people had pokemon as well. She wondered if perhaps they were from one of the regions. Hopefully Sinnoh.
If anything, perhaps a pokemon battle or two wouldn't hurt.

Managed to find her entire pokemon team stowed away somewhere. Good thing, too, nobody can take that away from her!
fleeting familiarity // CLOSED (@legendaryhermit)
Dawn remembered going to school when she younger. She recalled the plethora of lessons and the spare time where she could innocently run rebellious with her closest companion, Barry. It was incredible how much time can flee within the blink of an eye.
Except Dawn's school never involved murder.
She could not recall how she arrived, or where her Piplup or other pokemon have fled off to, but she was nervous. It was difficult to find her afraid in the first place, but in this midst of the entire situation, she was certainly and undoubtedly intimidated.
The worst had yet to come, and she hoped she would not be on the receiving end of it.
She held back a few tears that were threatening to drop from her eyes, and shatter, like glass, to the floors. Dawn missed Sinnoh, she missed her hometown and she especially missed her precious pokemon, wherever they were.
It could be confirmed that her dorm was not to provoke any excitement, so she decided to take a walk about the school in order to sort her thoughts neatly. Perhaps she could berate some sense into herself and switch her back into a positive outlook, if possible.
She wandered with painstaking care, hoping her shoes would not whack against the floor with great force. Dawn was desperate to make at least a few companions, but she didn't want to befriend the wrong people.
As fast as a bullet, a footstep and the sound of exhalation filled the expanses of the corridor. It was frightening for her at first, but perhaps she would find an ally in the oncoming stranger. It was worth a try, at least.
Before any confrontation, however, she had to familiarize herself with the overall exterior disposition of the person. As it turned out, it was a boy who appeared to be the same age as she, albeit slightly older.
From behind the potted plant of which she stood, she gazed intently at the boy. For some odd reason, he looked familiar.
