“ I ...     I  DON’T  KNOW . ”     she  longs  for  more ,  more  than  anything .     but  it’s  difficult  to  let  the  words  flow  when  he  is  this  close ,  this  open  &  honest  to  her .     it’s  easy  to  let  the  facade  fall ,  hazy  brown  eyes  almost  begging  to  get  lost  somewhere  else  and  avoid  conversation  alltogether ...     but  he  deserves  more  than  that ,  doesn’t  he ?

The error was made in adapting to a five year gap in Tønsberg aka New Asgard or at least, adapting in its vicinity. Norway was the perfect place to acclimate herself not just to the living but updating her own research from what had been continued of her own work while the rest of the world adjusted. The night skies were plenty and the nights long.

The problem isn’t Norway. The problem is New Asgard - visiting to check in on them as some sort of bridge between Asgard and Midgard.

This is where she finds herself deep in drink, thanks to some ever-indulgent Asgardians’ encouragement, supported but nearly in Valkyrie’s lap. “Asgard is lucky,” she mumbles and pulls her head up onto her hand. “A pretty King far prettier than the last if I say so,” she laughs, laughing hard enough for an unsuspecting snort to come from her nose. Hands fly out from under her and quickly cover her nose and the flush of embarrassment on her cheeks. “Did I just say that?” she says, eyes looking down her nose at the cupping of her hands over it.

THE  WOMAN  LOST  IN  THE  STARS ,  valkyrie  is  curious  about  jane  from  the  very  beginning .     sure ,  she’s  heard  stories  of  this  intelligent ,  tender - hearted  woman ,  a  bridge  between  two  worlds  that  now ,  had  to  subsist  on  the  same  planet .     she  refrains  from  drinking ,  just  like  she’s  done  for  the  last  couple  of  years ,  watching  her  people’s  hedonist  tradition  and  one  jane  foster  participating  in  them .

a  foolish  grin  touches  her  face ,  she  even  laughs  open  &  sweetly  about  it .     “ i  think  the  mead  has  gotten  the  best  of  you ,  dear  jane . ”     she’s  endeared ,  maybe  a  little  flustered  by  the  compliment .     “ but  it’s  quite  adorable ,  i  will  say  that .”
