This is a fantastic analysis of the music from the original Sims game.
I know this blog has been very quiet of late. I've pretty much moved on from Sims fandom, to be honest, but that doesn't mean I don't play the game anymore. And this weekend I had the itch to build, and so I scratched that itch with Kenningham House. I liked it so much that I decided to upload it :)
It's a 2x bedroom, 2x bathroom, CC-free family home on a 20x15 lot. Suited to a couple with a child/teenager, it comes complete with a pre-planted garden and several other useful items.
More images, info, and download link behind the cut.
Simblr.cc
I made a website!
Now you've probably seen the attempt before, people getting mad at tumblr and then making a 'Simblr' (Tumblr clone). Though, despite tumblr being sometimes a bit frustrating because of their changes, that's not why this site came to be...
I wanted a place where Storytellers, Creators, and just generic sim players can all be together and get the exposure and fun that they deserve.
Not only that, but also for a place where the TSM community and TS1 can belong somewhere too without the use of a forum.
And eventually, I hope we can make it the home for Life by you and Paralives when that comes out :)
Plus, it's also NSFW friendly! While the site is initially PG-13, we've got tags and profile settings that allow you to browse NSFW items as well.

What can I find on Simblr.cc exactly?
Anything for all sims games, really! TS1, TS2, TS3, TS4 and TSM
Changelog coming in!
Added dropdowns to all navbar items. This was you can easily switch to a specific game's browse page (plus it's now also available if you look at a profile, home, etc)
Made the dark/light mode buttons a dropdown as well.
Added filtering to the profile pages. This way you can now decide to only see a specific game of that person.
Additionally to that, the cards now also have a way of showing what game they're for when you have it set as "all games"
Added more text and a footer to the home page (formally known as "Switch Games")
Notifications now show the newest to oldest, rather than the other way around (woops!)
The notification count thingy in the navbar now properly shows how many unread notifications you actually have
Guests can now change the download page views as well (i.e they can now switch from Tabbed to Default and visa versa)
Profile tabs now have numbers of how many there is of each type, when in tabbed view of course.
Browse is now called "Mods"
You no longer will get the whole "editing" screen automatically when uploading an image. Instead, you'll have to click 'edit image' on the image itself and then "adjust image" for it to show
Coming up:
MTS and Tumblr post/download Importer
Traits/Personalities/Aspiration types(ts2) on profile pages.
Games owned on profile pages.
Adding a “compatibility mode” where it will only show mods of DLCs you own.
This is wonderful, I love that there is a Works in Progress section 😍
I uploaded my newest WIP, the Sims 3 wallpaper project featuring wall designs from "And Just Like That". Click here to check it out!
Ooh, this looks really good!

@frostedshore replied to your post “SimsReadmeGenerator”:
Can it read which cc we used?
It will notify you that CC is included, but from what I can tell it only gives you the package number rather than the actual name when it comes to CC. Which isn't really all that helpful, unfortunately.
The best way I've found of telling what CC was used is to convert the sims3pack to a package file (in its own folder, in case there's a lot of stuff included) using Delphy's Sims3pack Multi Extractor, then using the Thumbnail Extractor by Kill*ca to auto-extract all the ICON and THUMB files inside, so you can see what everything is.
Download SimsReadmeGenerator for free. reads information from sims3pack files. Reads information from sims3pack files, displays it and gener
I've been looking for something like this, for YEARS!
This amazing tool by Andusamar will read any sims3pack files you've exported and give you information about which EPs, SPs, store items, etc that you used to create it.
I've wished for a tool like this for so long, since I always had to put "may contain content from any EP or SP" on my download images (because I get so carried away while building, I forget to note stuff down!) and sometimes I forget that certain walls and floors come from store worlds.

I love Tedhi! Her videos have taught me so many cool sims 3 building tricks :D
I'm still working my way through this playlist, and yes; I'm learning so much. She has some amazing build ideas!
This is absolutely incredible!
Give this creator's Sunset Valley Makeovers playlist a watch. They're so talented.
A Historical Server??
Yes it’s true!
@deniisu-sims and I got together to create a server for all of us historical simblrs!
In this server we’ll be able to talk about anything historical related to TS3, includingcc, gameplay, mods, etc. to any time period you like, with the specialized channels we created! And, of course, everything non-sims related as well! Along with that, we can also talk about creating and converting high quality cc to the game, whether it’s build/buy or CAS!
I know there are other servers out there with more niche content (medieval for example), but I hope this can be “the main spot” for all historical cc creators, converters and enjoyers who want to connect with people with similar/same gameplay styles!
I hope this way we can connect as a community and help each other create the perfect historical save to each one of us haha
So, if you’d like to join, just click the link below! :)

Useful stuff: Simborg's CAS Hiders
Just found these: Simborg's CAS Hiders
An incredibly useful way to remove any CAS items that you don't want in your game - from Base Game through all the EPs and SPs - on an individual basis. You can finally get rid of those annoying CAS items in packs that you still want to use the majority of stuff from! Things like those huge gnome boots, the ITF makeup, those weird hairstyles (massive pompadour from Fast Lane, anybody?) as well as THOSE DAMN PIGTAILS THAT TEENS AGE UP WITH, etc etc.
ETA: Just gone through them all, and have hidden 595 items. I never knew how many things bloody annoyed me in those packs! xD

Full story! Where was he where'd he go who'd he sleep with what drugs he do
Couple of nightclubs, cute coat check guy, couple of lines of charlie in the bathroom ;)
What the hell just happened?
I saved the Boroughsburg game four times while building. The saves are still showing in my folder, but there's absolutely nothing in the launcher for them. I even backed up and removed all my other save files, so only the Boroughsburg ones were in the folder, and all I get now is an option to start a new save.
The original save file - despite being in the saves folder - just isn't showing in the launcher, either through CC Magic, or even the main TS3 launcher.
And, of course, I didn't export that lot before I quit. So that's several hours of work out the window :(
Edit: OK, something is very wrong here. I just started a new save with this world. Just loaded the world, didn't do anything else; just saved it. That save is also now showing in the Saves folder, but it doesn't show in the game selection menu. What the hell is going on? How can I load this save?!
Edit 2: I may have figured it out. I removed every save of this world except the most recent one. That made it finally show up in the save file launcher. Looks like you can only have one save of this world at a time? I need to update to the latest version of the world anyway, but I wanted to be able to go in and at least save the lot to my Library before I did that. That's now done, so I can update.
Interiors of Rocker!Valois's new home in Boroughsburg. His neighbours had better hope that music room is soundproofed ;)
Boroughsburg Morning.
Knowing him, it's 6am and he's coming home from an all-nighter - lol!
I finally got around to installing this world. My god, it runs so smoothly. Took me a while to find the inhabitable lots, but this lovely brownstone was perfect. I've spent a couple of hours furnishing it, so the next post will include some interiors.
Edit: I just caught him practising charisma in the mirror, and managed to freeze the camera at the perfect moment. Yep, that's definitely the face you'd pull after an all-night bender xD
I play so infrequently in this world, because it's so laggy and buggy (yes, I know there are fan-made fixes for it; I always forget to install those) but it's just so damn beautiful.
Guess who's just bought himself a nice little island escape. A private little villa, away from the pressures of fame.
What kind of sadist would do this?! xD
(It's an EA-built house, of course.)
