small things you can do to make days better
(´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡
don’t go on your phone immediately after waking up. so much of our days are spent looking at screens for work or school. give your eyes a break before of long day of screen time. take the time to read a book, journal, plan out your day, etc.
clean your room or desk area. a cluttered space is a cluttered mind!! set a timer and clean as much as you can. usually you’ll get more done that you thought, and if you don’t finish, you’ve likely developed a good rhythm and won’t want to stop.
take a few minutes to focus on your breath.
practice gratitude at the end of the day.
stretch your body before going to sleep.
Center, Ground, Shield Exercises
Center
Within a quiet environment meditate reflecting only on yourself. There are layers to every individual that make them who they are.
The outside layers are the things involved in your life that just slightly affect you.
These are common entities registering as minor annoyances.
Mid-layers are the issues that are more important to your life.
These range from your at-work responsibilities, and to people you like and consider close.
The innermost layers are the extremely important things.
These range from family to meaningful relationships.
The location of everyone's core is near your breastbone. This is considered to be your center. Focus on this spot for a while to make yourself aware of what makes up you. Concentrate on who you are as a person. Steady your thoughts and try to find the innermost part of you. Dwell there and find a sense of balance. Try to do this to sync yourself to who you are.
Ground
The ground absorbs energy, and with this any excess positive or negative energy can safely be transmitted to such a location.
After you are centered you need to focus on all the energy within yourself that is NOT you.
The outer and middle layers that loosely define you as an individual need to be pushed away gently from you, and any ideas or concepts you have had in life (even expectations) also need to be brushed down into the ground. Let all of this go and continue to relax and focus entirely on yourself.
I know that sometimes it is hard to let go of things that you seem to worry about, but you need to clear your energies and mind. By doing this it is letting go of all your worries and negativity within your life, and again, putting the focus entirely on to you.
This step may need to be repeated several times, until you are able to let go, focus on yourself, and find the calm and relaxation one desires.
Shield
Shields are needed to protect you and your energies from outside influences. It protects you from psychic attacks and negative energies.
You will need to be centered and grounded to achieve a proper shield.
You will need to visualize an indestructible barrier around your aura. Only you decide what comes in, and what does not.
The best way to do this is to visualize layers of what can protect you. Make sure to draw in ambient (outside) energies around you more so than within you to create a barrier shield so it may properly protect you.
Over time it will start to dissipate so repeating this step is needed when necessary. It all depends on the types of influences you let surround you.
Advanced Shields: Part 4
You will need to understand the basics to centering, grounding, and shielding first in order to attempt and accomplish these methods listed below.
Some people create constructs binding the energy to a physical set of items making a system which fuels the barrier shield so it will last longer and function more properly.
There are other individuals that only meditate and use visualization to mend any energies out of place to keep their shields in a better working progress. This method alone, however, will over time exhaust their own energies, and it is advised that replenishing those energies is needed. They should learn how to use external sources to help replenish their own energies and use them to help create a better shield system overall.
A self love night time routine 🌙🧸🪞🤍✨
Your night time routine is all about dedicating time to yourself. Your routine should be tailored to what makes YOU feel relaxed, loved, and cared for. You can add or modify any of these steps to make it perfect for you.
Cleanse & skin care routine. This isn’t just about hygiene. Cleansing your skin can also cleanse the day's stresses away. Remove makeup (if you wear it). Use a gentle cleanser. Apply toner, serums, or treatments if you use them. Moisturize to keep your skin hydrated.
Spend a few minutes decluttering and organizing so you can go to sleep with a clear mind.
Prepare for tomorrow. Pick out your clothes, prepare your lunch and create your to do list so you wake up with a plan of action.
Set aside electronics, especially those that might interrupt your relaxation (phones, laptops). Put them on the other side of the room, or another room to avoid distractions.
Spend a few minutes journaling or meditating on your day. Write down three things you're grateful for as well as your achievements or progress.
Make a herbal tea or warm milk. Stay away from caffeine, they will interfere with your sleep.
If you enjoy baths, now might be the time to have one with calming salts or essential oils. If you prefer showers, use this time to enjoy the sensation of the water, rather than rushing through it.
Spend a few minutes practicing deep breathing, grounding exercises, or meditation to calm your mind.
Choose a book, avoid anything too stimulating or stress inducing.
Stand in front of a mirror and speak kind words to yourself. Use positive affirmations that resonate with you, like “I am worthy of love and happiness” or “I did my best today, and that's enough.”
Dress in comfortable nightwear, ensuring your sleeping environment is cozy. This could be clean sheets and a comfortable pillow.
Dim the lights, play calming music or nature sounds, or use an essential oil diffuser with lavender or chamomile.
Before closing your eyes to sleep, visualize a peaceful scene or a memory that makes you happy.
As you lie in bed, silently express gratitude for the day. Set a positive intention for the next day.
Get full night's sleep. Make sure you’re getting 7-9 hours depending on your personal needs.

HABITS TO IMPLEMENT

Reflection- make a note of things you would like to improve on. This could be self-love, relationships,
STAY CONSISTENT
Consistency is key. Make sure to stick to your plan and keep working towards your goals every day. Even small steps are progress. Try to make your goal part of your daily routine.
HOW TO STAY CONSISTENT
SCHEDULE- Setting schedules helps really well with consistency. Make a schedule for the tasks you need to do daily or weekly to achieve your goals. This can help you make your goals a part of your routine, making it easier to stay consistent.
STAY ORGANIZED- Keep track of your tasks and goals. Use tools like calendars, to-do lists, or apps to help you stay organized and remember what you need to do.
DISCIPLINE YOURSELF- Sometimes, you won't feel like working towards your goals, and that's okay. The key is to maintain discipline and do the task anyway. Remember, consistency is about doing the task regularly, not just when you feel like it.
START SMALL- Don't overwhelm yourself with huge tasks. Start small and gradually increase your workload as you build consistency.
DON’T BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF- If you miss a day, don't beat yourself up. Instead, acknowledge that it happened, understand why, and move on. Consistency is about long-term progress, not perfection.
CREATE A PLAN
Once you know what your goals are, create a step-by-step plan on how to achieve them. Break down each goal into smaller, manageable tasks. This might involve creating a timeline, setting deadlines, or identifying resources or tools you might need.
LEAVE THINGS IN THE PAST
In 2023, I’m sure everyone has had ups and downs, but not letting them define you as a person is something that has to be done in order for you to become a new person.
HOW TO LEAVE THINGS IN THE PAST
ACCEPTANCE- Acknowledge the past and accept it as part of your life story. Understand that it's something that has shaped you but doesn't define you.
FORGIVENESS- Forgive yourself and others. Holding onto resentment only harms you. Letting go of grudges can bring a sense of peace and open up space for healthier relationships.
LEARN FROM IT- Every experience, good or bad, is an opportunity to learn. Reflect on these experiences and use them as stepping stones to better decisions in the future.
FOCUS ON THE PRESENT- The past is unchangeable, but the present is in your control. Concentrate on what you can do now to create a positive future.
SET NEW GOALS- Create new objectives for yourself. This gives you something to work towards and helps shift your focus from the past to the future.
PRACTISE MINDFULNESS- Mindfulness is about staying focused on the present moment. Practices like meditation can help you stay grounded and prevent you from dwelling on the past.
ADJUST YOUR PLAN AS NEEDED
It's okay if your initial plan doesn't work out exactly as you thought. Life happens, and it's important to be flexible and adapt your plan as needed. If you find that a certain approach isn't working, don't be afraid to try something different.
PRACTICE SELF CARE
Remember to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. This can include things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy, exercising regularly, and taking time to relax and do things you enjoy. Don't forget that self-care is an important part of reaching your goals.
WAYS TO PRACTICE SELF CARE-
BALANCED DIET- There is no need to restrict yourself from foods but eating a healthy, balanced diet is crucial for maintaining physical health. Try to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in your diet.
EXERCISE REGULARLY- Regular physical activity can help reduce stress, improve mood, and boost overall health. This doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym - it could be anything from a brisk walk to a yoga class
GET ENOUGH SLEEP- Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Establish a regular sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine to improve sleep quality.
STAY HYDRATED- Drinking enough water each day is important for overall health. Try to aim for at least 8 glasses per day.
TAKE BREAKS- Make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day, especially if you're working or studying. This can help prevent burnout and improve productivity.
DO THINGS YOU ENJOY- Make time for hobbies or activities you enjoy. This could be anything from reading a book to playing a sport to painting.
CELEBRATE SMALL THINGS
Don't wait until you've reached your big goal to celebrate. Celebrate small wins along the way to keep your motivation high. This could be treating yourself to something you enjoy, or simply taking a moment to acknowledge your achievement.
REFLECTING ON THE PAST YEAR
Think about how the past year went. Did you learn anything? Did you reach new goals? If you don't the answers to these questions, I recommend further examining your year!!
