the harder you try to force it, the more it resists. but the moment you stop chasing it, it happens naturally, without you even noticing.
you don’t need to struggle with it.

it already exists within you.

every time i shifted i wasn't doing any specific kind of method or trying super hard to focus.
but instead, i let myself relax and didn't worry about potentially "failing". i didn't think about what was going to happen, i didn't force myself to do anything. i simply set the intention, and then didn't dwell on it anymore. i just let it happen.
you can shift even if you doubt yourself, if you're desperate, and regardless of what you're doing or how you're feeling. because i too have shifted during times where my mindset was unnecessarily overcomplicated and doubtful.
but shifting will always be more pleasant if you accept that it is something that is genuinely easy to achieve. you don't need to "earn it" or work towards it. there's no need for mental gymnastics. all you're doing is moving your awareness from your current reality to your desired reality.
in simple terms, you are basically switching the tv channel you are watching. one second ago you were watching series x, and now you are watching series y. did it take a lot of effort to change the channel? of course not, all you had to do was want it and press a button, therefore the program changed instantly. your focus has now shifted from one series to another because you made that choice.
it's the same with shifting. all you need to do is know that you're just becoming aware of another reality, not creating anything new, because it has always existed. you're just moving your awareness there. and you don't even need to press a button or anything!

the reasons you haven't shifted yet or have been trying too for years are more reassuring than you think and i just made a lengthyyy post on that please check it out.
the moment you set that intention, the connection is built. you've already told the universe where you're aligned. it's done. but shifting sometimes is kind of a goldilocks state, too much anxiety, too little passion, too much noise, too much boredom and it can muddy the signal without cutting it entirely. the connection is always there. it just needs the right conditions to receive clearly. i know this isn't really sat with enough in the community but genuinely find solace in the fact that you are connecting with your dr and everyone there that you love more and more with each attempt. i genuinely believe that once you accept it, you stop chasing. you stop obsessing. you actually let go, because even a "failed" attempt stops being a failure and starts being a moment of growth, a closer point of contact with your dr. yes, the frustration is valid. feel it. but underneath it is actually progress. this is why you need to actually keep on trying each time you feel your intuition speak, and have faith and as much confidence as you can, and if not just find comfort in your abilities and let go.
i've been knowing of shifting for six years. and looking back, i can see so clearly how many times i was closer than i realised. and honestly, knowing what i know now, that probably would have cut years off my journey. so if you've been here a long time and you're still waiting, this is for you specifically. you're not behind. you're not broken. you've just been closer than you knew, more times than you think.
tonight, when you go to sleep, keep aside all the thoughts about shifting for once and just relax! find a suitable position and just relax. you know that feeling when you are so cozy that you feel like almost sinking in the bed? yes that. and then when you are at ease, ask yourself what you should do to shift to your dr right now and just do that! trust yourself and your instincts, make yourself comfortable and just shift however you feel like to. drown out all the shifting and loa posts you've read, you already know what you need at this stage. so, just do that.
you're not moving mountains, stop treating it like that. you're just shifting!

THE SWITCH
over my years of being part of the shifting community, I've noticed that there’s this idea that when you’re using an awake method, there has to be a moment. or a switch. a sudden, click where reality bends and you know you’ve shifted.
but as someone who has shifted so many times i've lost count, the truth is that (most of the time) there’s no grand shift. no falling sensation. no blackout. no gasp of "i did it." sometimes you just open your eyes. or blink. or breathe a little deeper. and you’re there. it’s soft, subtle, unannounced.
that's all to say: stop waiting for the moment. you’re not missing it. you’re just expecting it to be louder than it needs to be.
think about the feeling of waking up here. you open your eyes, and you're in your bed. there's no grand moment, before or after you wake up. you just do. it's the same thing when you shift.
the longer you wait for the moment, or that click, the harder you're making something that's meant to be easy.
I hate that "you can't say 2 or 3 affirmations and expect to shift" take because says WHO?! Like who has the authority to tell you what you can and can't do in order to shift. I hate that 2020 put that into people's head because putting in more effort ≠ shifting successfully. Shifting isn't measurable. It's not like the shifter who said 100 affirmations compared to the shifter who said 1 is going to shift that night. That's not how it works, if you want to set the intention and roll over. Then so be it. If you want to get into the void. Then so be it. This is your journey, don't let anyone tell you how YOU can shift. There's people who've shifted on the toilet, while walking, while in the shower. You think they sat there and said 1,000 affirmations whole holding the starfish position...ON THE TOILET? NO! Like don't let anyone else determine your shifting journey.
The next time you see someone try to tell you what you can or can't do, take a deep breath and say "OH WHO IS U?" and then do what you want! Now go shift!

You get to treat it like a sandbox, because that’s what it is. This is an illusion. Poke holes in it. Bend it. Flip it inside out. Control it, mess with it, since it doesn’t matter anyway.
You already recognized it’s an illusion, so shape it, tear it, play with it. SIDE QUESTS WON’T STOP YOU FROM GETTING YOUR DESIRE BECAUSE YOU ALREADY HAVE IT.
If you’re aware it’s fake, you’re already free. So go do something chaotic about it.
