Vicky kept her voice low as she looked over to… Whatever it was her cell mate was doing. Picking the lock, no doubt. Surely, she’d be a little more successful than Vicky had been earlier that evening. 

“How’s the thing holdin’ up, mate?”

Lovina froze for a moment, hearing the voice of the cellmate she was sure was asleep. She had nothing not her visor, not her voice acclimation tech, nothing, Damn. The woman contemplated her course of action and shuffled a bit making it as though she were adjusting her wrists from the strain and using that momentum to pull her hood further over her face before going back to the lock.

She adjusted the tool she always kept stowed close at hand, meant to avoid being taken when detained.

“Better than you might think...for such a cheap little prison.” she kept herself cool and her shoulders relaxed...just bust the lock then they could part ways. Problem solved, or at least, that was her intention.

Lovina had only been in here for five minutes at 4 in the damn morning, and heaven help her if she was in here for more than 10. This place should be an easy self spring, but, lock-picking wasn’t what it used to be. That is to say it was a whole hell of a lot more difficult now much to her chagrin on the matter. The old VHS tapes her mother kept from HER mother had movies that always made this seem so easy, but, of course locks were electronic now half the time and a whole different set of tools was required. Still-

-if she needed to she could fry this thing, those who had detained her had missed a charge on her, they always did. However, that would make things more difficult and set off alarms no doubt, hell she wasn’t even sure she’d be able to get her bat back if she did that. So she sat fiddling with the lock muttering in her native tongue assuming the other inmates were asleep, not that there was a woman awake in the cell across from her.

I don’t intend to really do a face-claim for Lovina, I’m pretty particular and I’d have to find something that really fit and I don’t like to use real-life face claims honestly? And manga or other sorts of fictional face claims don’t do much for women of color. I will be drawing her soon I promise.
