Why do we create? Join historian Saul Brown for a special evening at the internationally renowned Van Der Plas Gallery as we explore the mystery of art and science, magic and meaning, wisdom and technology and the force of human creativity. Help us consider: • What is the meaning of the Prometheus myth and the divine fire he gives us? • Why in a winner-take-all economy will creativity provide a decisive edge? • What is a memory palace and how did it bestow universal wisdom? • How can we use technology to unleash our innate creativity and not replace it? • How can we regain that world of endless meaning our ancestors knew? • Why was the binding power of that world mystery and paradox?
