Hello, I wanted to buy the New Testament's manga, however I noticed that in the physical version, the fifth volume is available only used on amazon and the prices are really expensive. Do you know why? Or an alternative site where I can buy them?

I would imagine that the physical version is out of print currently and they have not released another print of it, which is why the price of it has gone up. Don't unfortunately know any places I could recommend, sorry!

Hiya! I finally got around to downloading all the chapters of Shinyaku and I don't see anything earlier than your post of chapters 15-16. Do you have translations of 1-14 somewhere I'm not seeing or is there a reason you started with 15?

Since the manga's nearing the end, any thoughts on translating other mangas relating to Sound Horizon or will be moving onto a different one? I'm sorry if this seems hard to answer

We haven't really thought about the future. Moira could be an option for us to continue, but seeing as it has been on a hiatus for 6+ years and we haven't heard a peep from it in years either, it's hard to say when that would come back if ever.

Also in recent years pretty much all of our members have become busier and busier in real life, so it's hard to find time for these projects. Hopefully most of us still enjoy working on scanlations, but they definitely are a lot of work 😅

Never say never, but currently we have no plans for any new projects after we're done with KyuuYaku. If we're going to pick up any new projects in the future, they would most definitely be Sound Horizon related still, though!

For those curious what was going on with Shiina for the past three years, she has written a lengthy blog post you can find in here: http://blog.livedoor.jp/pos2006/archives/52247408.html

It’s obviously in Japanese, but in short she has been struggling with many health issues and setbacks (she has had a chronic illness since childhood), and her editor-in-charge sadly passed away also. 

She’s now able to release two back-to-back chapters, but is obviously taking things slowly and there’s no mention when the next chapter after these two will come. However, the manuscript for Gyoukou no Uta chapter is already done!

We're currently working on it, but right now we're taking it kinda easy with the work. Most of us have become busier with real life stuff in the...three-year period that KyuuYaku has been on hiatus, so there's that and the fact that we haven't worked on scanlations for a while, so it's a lot of figuring things out again!

We're hoping to get this chapter out before the end of the month when another new chapter drops, so here's hoping for the best 🙏 Thanks for your patience!

Hello, I hope the entire scanlation team is doing well today. First off, thank you very much for translating Sound Horizon's 7th story mangas! (I actually got pulled in way too late and got interested in the actual album and man, the vocals are off the charts with musics speeds up or slowing down depending on things-) And uh... if I may ask, when will you guys translate chapter 14 of Kyuuyaku Marchen? Again, thank you so much to every members of the scanlation team for translating many Sound Horizon stories!

Thank you for the feedback! Covid times has slowed things down, but we're otherwise doing fine :)

And yes, the plan is to scanlate chapter 14...Except it hasn't been released haha. The series has been on a hiatus since chapter 13 was released, so can't say when exactly chapter 14 is coming out. The mangaka, Shiina Soga -sensei, has been struggling with health issues, so that has been slowing down her work, unfortunately.

Hello sorry if I ask, but I have no idea to who ask this. I really want to buy Shinyaku Märchen but I've heard that the "special chapters" about Idolfried are in separete logbooks and not with the volumes ofShinyaku? If I buy the volumes on amazon or cdjapan, there will be these logbooks as well or I have to buy them used?

I think the log books weren’t any sort of “limited run” or separate releases, so they should just be attached to the physical releases of the manga. The first volume didn’t have one, but all following releases had it. I would actually say that buying the manga used could be riskier, in case the person selling the manga has lost the log book or something else...

The electrical releases on the other hand were a bit trickier, as I think they compiled all four log books into one and released it only with the final e-book volume.

Hopefully this answers your question! My memory’s a bit hazy on the details as these were released a while ago, heh...

You can ask, but I’m not sure how to answer, haha! :’) 

The last chapter really throws you for a loop, so I would just advice you to interpret it how you like.

I unfortunately don’t have an estimation on when we’ll have the fifth volume done. Covid still hasn’t ended and this means our checker still has not gotten her copy... So it might be a while more, sorry about that!

As for general updates, I’m afraid there’s not really...much to tell. The manga situation as a whole seems pretty dead atm. Shiina Soga did tweet about a month ago that she was about to write the fairytale info blurb for Takkei no Seijo, but had no news on when the actual chapter would be coming out. Hopefully this year...?

Just a quick update to tell you guys that I (Murkki) got my copy of volume 5 of Shinyaku Märchen today! It came with almost 20 new extra pages and so we’ll be publishing another translation PDF later on. Just a head’s up this might take a while, as our checker needs to wait for her own copy and due to the international situation (looking at you, corona virus) this might take a while, so please be patient!

What is the ANN fiasco?

Well friends. This is it.

Some of you may have already heard the news (especially after that whole ANN fiasco lol), but the serialisation of ShinYaku Märchen indeed ended with this chapter.

The fifth and final tankoubon is slated to release on March 17th and, again, if there are extra pages, we’ll provide a PDF translation for those pages at a later date, but there won’t be anymore chapter releases like this with ShinYaku from us ;_; Some of us worked on this series from the very beginning, some joined later, but we are all nevertheless sad to see it come to an end.

We will work on other Sanhora manga releases as they come, but as the other supposedly ongoing series aren’t exactly active at the moment, you can expect VaniGrave to enjoy some hibernation from now on also :’) Anyway, hopefully we’ll see you sooner than later again and now, please enjoy the final chapter of ShinYaku Märchen!
