Thoughts
My gen x parents were taught to have children if they wanted one, doesn't matter if they were ready for it or not. They were told they will figure it out on the go.
Fuck lack of education!
No! Do not have children just because you two love each other oh so so so much and how cute it would be to see a mixed breed of you two.
They didn't care to realise their own traumas and try healing them, so now they have a completely dysfunctional and dependent daughter who had to do all the mental work and healing on her own because having a child with mental health issues is embarrassing and anyways the child is just imagining her problems. She doesn't need professional help and that would be beyond embarrassing in the community anyways.
Because! It would mean my parents didn't do a goood job! Wow! Yes, exactly!
So here I am. Wishing that my parents cared enough, considered their own negative traits that may get transferred to the child and decide that having another one is not the best idea. (They both have children from previous marriages)
I would love to not feel like a loser, not to feel like someone left behind, someone who was spoiled just so they don't have to put any emotional work into said child while also pretending to be the best parents on Earth.
And on top of everything I'm a woman. At least as a man I wouldn't have to worry as much. Haha
