I'm not following their X/Twitter, I swear. I just noticed one post about the new trailer... and decided to check.
So... there will be a story with little Kate that reminds Vivi of their first meeting.
This is ridiculous. She's no more than 5. Just as I thought originally.
But... Vivi was 18-19 at the time. So that gives us an age gap of 13-14 years. If Victor created Crown right after that, and he created it 14 years ago... he would be 32-33. But that would make Kate 19!!!!! She can't be that young. She's older than Ellis.
So, going the other way around: Kate is now 25-26. So she first met Vivi 20-21 years ago. That gives us Victor's age — 39-40.
BUT!!!
What did he do for 6-7 years??? Was he looking for cursed boys that long? I really don't understand...

I’m so excited for this, I hope we get more info about when they first met! I’m not a fan of big age gaps, so I keep trying to do the math to make it as small as possible whenever we get new info. Victor spoilers and rambling below.
In Victor’s route it says he is 18 when they first met. I always imagined Kate being 13 or 14 at the time. I work with middle schoolers, and you’d be surprised what things the 8th graders (13/14) cry about so I don’t think it would be far off for her to cry like that about a cat but still be able to speak more maturely. This would give them a 4-5 year gap, which would make sense considering Victor viewed her as a child when they met, but an adult when they met a second time during the bombing. Is there a concrete timeline for those two events?
In the “present” time of the story, she is mentioned to be older than Ellis who I think is said to be 25 in his route? So she shouldn’t be any younger than that. If the bombing happened after Crown was founded, then it can’t have happened more than 14 years ago and she would have to have been at least 11 or 12 at that point. We don’t know the gap between those, but they mention that it’s a few years, so 14 would be too much. It was mentioned in Victor’s route when she explains her memory of the bombing that she volunteered at the church shortly after she started working at the post office. For some reason I think that was 6 years ago? I feel like some event or chapter mentioned a more specific timeline for her working at the post office, but I could be wrong. I should really start to write these things down as they come up.
In the Mad Love epilogue Victor mentioned that he cared about her when they first met but fell in love when she was “a grown adult”, and that’s when he started quietly watching over her (which regardless of the age gap at least spares him from being a creeper imo). When they first met, she inspired him to rely on others which led him to think of making Crown. He didn’t think was possible until he met Will (according to the JP Past Records event), who was 14 at the time, and they created Crown together not too long after Victor took over the throne. If we give it a year from Victor becoming Victoria and being pep-talked by Kate at 18 to creating Crown, then he would have met Kate about 15 years ago. That puts Victor at 33 years old. If Kate was 12 when they first met (not a teen, but not too young), then she would be 27 and they would have a 6 year gap.
Again, I like to think that she was 13 or 14 since that is early adolescence and not too old to be considered a child by him but not too young that it makes Victor a creep, even by Victorian Era standards. I feel like the event image here shows her at like 7 or 8, I think 5 would be too young, and hopefully the idea of being protective of younger Kate is what reminds him of their meeting and not that she was actually that old when they met!
I believe it's another "she turned into a child" event. But since the story is from his POV, it's most likely going to be very interesting...

sorry for butting in but you might be interested in my calculations for victor's age! he should be around 37 ish, which certainly makes him quite old, at least enough to have harry call him an old man. If he truly was around that age, mc would have been 5/6 just like you said!
