Intro post

Hi, I’m vanilla-plan1folia (formerly carmendeiact2whenplz), or if need be just call me Celeste (pronounced suh-lest-ayy)

I really like old mondstadt. I’m also a huge fan of genshin lore in general, especially fontaine and natlan. Obscure characters my beloved.

Fandoms- genshin impact, in stars and time, deltarune and that’s pretty much it for now (although i’ll often reblog things from other fandoms)

I occasionally draw and write sometimes (and yes, I do currently take drawing requests (but mainly for genshin-related things/fandoms i’m in)

Rules about my art- feel free to take as much inspiration as you want, use it as a reference, trace over some parts of it, etc etc. However, if you do so enough to be noticeable, please give credit and tag me in it (and a link to the original art, but it isn’t required)

Reposting is okay, as long as you give proper credit and send a link to the original (and if it’s reposting within tumblr, tag me as well)

If you choose to post my art inside a fanfic, amv, or some other form of external media, please ask for permission (although in many cases I will say yes- just give proper credit)

My plans for pulling characters circa <24 hours after the release of the trailer. This could change dramatically as the updates go on.

Explanations for each character below the cut in case it gets long. For the sake of this, I’ll be treating (almost) every character like they’re a five star.

Now that all of these characters (except Alice, in which we don’t know when she will be playable) have become playable, here’s how things actually went:

I did end up getting Sandrone, Durin, and Flins. Funnily enough, they all had the same experience with me pulling them (lost 50/50 at around ~50 pity with Durin and Sandrone, and then got them at soft pity. With Flins, i lost 50/50 at soft pity and got him at soft pity). Durin and Flins have some of my favorite designs, and I do like Sandrone’s design as well but like many others, I wish she had a longer skirt. Oh well, mods exist anyway

I got Nicole, who i’ve had maybe my most insane experience with pulling a character. I lost to Dehya at ~1 or 2 pity, got Nicole in the same ten pull, and used my capturing radiance to get her c1 at 15 pity. I hope I can get her c2 on her rerun, if the timing is right.

I did get Columbina, and now she’s on so many teams. I had a pretty normal (for me) experience with getting her, as I got her around soft pity on capturing radiance. She doesn’t do much for exploration in her kit, but I do really like her alternative run/sprint and how floaty it feels to use her.

I did not pull for Lauma or Nefer. Neither their character design, gameplay, personality, nor lore/backstory were enough to sway me into pulling for them. I know that they are both very meta, but I just don’t want to pull for them. (I do have Jahoda and a few of her cons, I love her personality and she’s such a cool character but she doesn’t fit into many teams sadly)

I did not pull for Varka, and have zero intentions of doing so in the future. He is, in all aspects, one of my least favorite playable characters (in the sense that I don’t have a strong dislike for any characters, just neutrality/light dislikes). His only redeeming quality is the fact that his skill jump ability is cool. And also he is kinda meta but I wouldn’t want him even if I got him for free somehow. (I did however intentionally pull on multiple banners for as many Aino cons as I could get. I love Aino. One of my favorite characters, but there are a lot of favorite characters)

Other new characters not mentioned:

I pulled for Ineffa on her first banner but lost the 50/50, and I got her on her rerun a lot sooner than I expected (lost to Jean at 50 ish pity, then got Ineffa in the next 10-pull). I love Ineffa. I was already super intrigued by her prior to her at the time of making the original post, but then I played The Journey Home and fell in love with her and her story. I love Ineffa. She’s on most of my teams, and currently double crowned (i’ll try to triple crown her)

Zibai: Didn’t pull, don’t intend on pulling her, she’s a cool character but I just don’t really want to get her that much

illuga: I got him and his c1, but I have literally never used him on a team, since I have no dedicated lunar-crystallized characters

Linnea: Didn’t pull, though maybe on her rerun someday. I didn’t do her story quest yet so I don’t know much about her lore, but she seems cool

Prune: I tried to get her but couldn’t, and she is now the only four star I don’t have. I might try to get her if there’s a banner that she’s on though.

Lohen: I didn’t pull for him, I do think he is a really cool and fascinating character but his kit just doesn’t intrigue me that much. Also I haven’t done his story quest yet so I only have a surface level understanding of his lore

(There’s probably some characters I missed, in which case I may or may not have gotten them)

At this point you may be asking how many 50/50s I won. The answer? Last time I won one was Skirk’s first banner. I just want to say that I win maybe one 50/50 every seven losses, give or take. Yeah. Hopefully I’ll win my annual 50/50 with one of the Snezhnaya characters
