Update from the void

Hi folks, long time no see! (°▽°)/ I'm not used to making these type of posts, but I felt it was necessary this time - at least, for the very few people who are interested in what I do and would like to know where the heck I went.

I'm so SO sorry for the lack of art and writing whatsoever these past months, and I assure you it's not because I lost interest.

The reality is that, aside from a few real life things that I won't discuss here, I've been feeling pretty demoralized by the whole AI situation and the state of fandom spaces in general (except the WIR fandom, you guys are still the greatest). I haven't stopped doing art, it's just that... I don't feel comfortable enough to post it right now. I hope you can understand (╥_╥)

So all I can kindly ask in the meantime is to be patient. My inbox/dms are always available, if needed. I'll be posting again soon, don't worry. I just don't know how soon it will be.

I'm truly flattered by your request, but for now I think I'll have to say no, sorry. It's not like I don't find your OC good or anything, quite the contrary in fact, it's just that this project as it is now is still very bare-bones and incomplete. There are a bunch of characters I didn't have the time to introduce yet, and key moments I'm still trying to figure out how to incorporate in the story. And as I'm very slow with my process I'm afraid it'll take me quite some time to sort everything out. Not to mention I'm still debating on what kind of game Luna's from, just to give you an idea of how TERRIBLE I am at this.

Also, this is kind of a comfort project for me. It came about in a period where I was dealing with some stress (and quite frankly I still am, only less than before) and needed something to "distract" myself with. So I'm kinda attached to it, in a sense.

BUT! Since I don't want to seem rude, I will say this: if you're comfortable with it, I highly encourage you to take the same premise of my AU and making your personal version! At its core, my AU is really simple and not that unique. There are already many great similar AUs out there. And I find your OC REALLY intriguing by the way! I really like their concept and the way it could be written into this kind of plot (also you mentioned some great characters there as reference). I'd love to read/watch your interpretation! Right now I feel it's too soon to think about "official" crossovers and such, since I'd prefer to work on this story by myself and have all the creative freedom and time I need.

But now, all of those efforts may as well have gone out the window the second she’d made such a ridiculous suggestion. “What’s wrong? I thought you were on our side.” Calhoun barbed him with his own words, folding her arms across her chest. “What’s the problem with doing one little favour?” Through grit fangs, King Candy snarled back, “If you think I’m stupid enough to make myself target practice for your little firing squad, you are sorely mistaken.” “What, now you’re afraid of getting shot?” Scoffing at that, Calhoun’s harsh eyes narrowed. “I think you’re full of bull. So much for the ‘helpful’ act, hm?” “C’mon Tammy, to be fair, you did kinda threaten to drag him outta Sugar Rush an’ ‘put him down’ once...” Vanellope hesitantly pointed out, casting nervous glances between the two characters glaring daggers at each other. “Ya gotta admit, that ain’t exactly the most reassuring sign…”

There are no words to express how much I love this fic, really. It single-handedly reignited my passion for the medium and even inspired me to make my own au. I adore the characterization of Vanellope, especially all these genuine moments between her and KCB, how almost everyone (looking at you Ralph) slowly starts to follow in her steps, even though it's impossible to erase what happened. I really like the way you approached the entire situation, it truly feels real to the characters and the general worldbuilding of the movie.

Also that final scene with Sinistar at the end of chapter 6 was brutal. Truly the spaceship of all time. Chapeu 👌

I'M ALIVE! Happy 2025! Sorry for the sudden disappearance, the end of the year decided to be chaotic as hell for no absolute reason and I couldn't pick up the pen to draw at all. But I hadn't forgotten about my little requests, so here we are at last! This one comes from @king-candybug-backup and I hope I gave it justice! It took me a while because I initially wanted to make it more sketchy and less time consuming but perfectionism said no, you gotta make this the right way. Was watching Resident Alien the other day (starring Alan Tudyk) and felt EXTREMELY compelled to slap a few of the quotes onto King Candy because omfg, the fact that this man plays TWO murderous identity fraudsters with a superiority complex and extreme beef with 9-year-olds is WILD TO ME.

This was supposed to be an Halloween sketch but I didn't like how it looked, so I took a few more days to actually finish it. I'm not 100% happy with the final result, but I still quite enjoyed the process!

So for some context, both Lucifer and King Candy share the same italian voice actor, Fabrizio Vidale. And I only found out, like, a few weeks ago 🤡

Also they're both short kings so I guess that counts too.
