Hi peeps!

I'm Vianca (pronounced vi-yanca), but you can call me Vi, Via, or Aca or anything you prefer

I'm 20, currently drowning(figuratively) in the health sciences. Between classes, internships, councils, and whatever academic chaos decides to find me, I stay pretty busy. When I do get a break, you'll usually find me here in tumblr or with my nose buried in a book, baking something sweet, or outside tending to my plants.

Fun fact: I've been a florist, a baker, and a barista at different points in my life (when I'm not surviving school, of course). I also enjoy joining community clean-up drives whenever I can.

I'm a professional yapper. Ask me about literature, mythology, medicine, flowers, philosophy, documentaries, random history facts, or why I suddenly decided to bake at 2 a.m. I will happily talk your ear off.

Earlier while I was working, I took a quick break and forgot my glasses at the nurse's station while I was checking patient charts. I can't see far, so I didn't realize I was apparently staring at this woman in front of me.

She walked past me, leaned in just enough for me to hear, and whispered,

"Keep staring at me like that and I might just make your eyes roll back, darling."

...I think my soul left my body for a solid five seconds.

I swear my cheeks stayed red for the rest of my shift😭

When she was about to lean in, you instinctively closed your eyes, your heart pounding loud enough that you were sure she could hear it.

You waited.

One second.

Two.

Three.

...Nothing.

The silence stretched just long enough to make you wonder if time itself had stopped.

Slowly, you opened your eyes.

She was still there.

Only now she was looking at you with the most infuriatingly beautiful grin, her lips curled into a smile that screamed, Got you

"Oh," she teased, trying—and failing—not to laugh. "You actually thought I was going to kiss you?"

Your face burned as realization hit.

Your ears burned.

"I wasn't—"

"You weren't?" she interrupted, taking one tiny step closer. "Because from where I was standing, it looked an awful lot like you were expecting something."

You cleared your throat, desperately trying to salvage what little dignity you had left.

"I was... resting my eyes."

She laughed.

"Resting your eyes?"

"Yep."

"While I was inches away from your face?"

"...Coincidence."

She bit her lip, trying not to laugh even harder.

"You're adorable when you're flustered."

"I am not flustered."

"You won't even look at me."

"I am looking at you."

"You've been staring at that plant behind me for the last thirty seconds."

"...It's a nice plant."

She laughed so hard she had to cover her mouth.

"You are impossible."

"And whose fault is that?"

She smiled, softer this time.

"Mine."

For a moment, neither of you said anything.

She looked at you.

You looked back.

Then she leaned in again.

Your eyes immediately fluttered shut.

A quiet laugh escaped her lips.

"You did it again."

"...I'm leaving."

You barely managed to take one step before she gently caught your wrist.

"Hey."

You turned back.

This time, she didn't tease you.

She closed the distance, brushed a strand of hair away from your face, and whispered—

"Now you can close your eyes."

Before you had the chance to overthink it, she finally kissed you.
