“It would be cool to have somebody from Canada be at the top with Sam Hill and Steve Peat.” From his segment in “The Collective- Seasons” aspiring to be one of the best, to being one of the best and dominating the WC scene. This man was one major source of motivation for alot of mountain bike riders across the globe. I woke up to check Pinkbike today morning and was devastated at the news which pinned the news feed. I still cannot wrap my head around how this year is turning out to be. I’m sure there’s a gnarly mountain bike community which is recruiting these legends somewhere. Somewhere beyond our reach. R.I.P Stevie Smith. You were and always will be awesome. My condolences go out to his family and friends and all the riders in the world who are devastated at this major loss. You left us too soon.
