saying yes because you feel guilty about saying no is not consent. saying yes because you’re scared of what will happen if you say no is not consent. saying yes because you figure you might as well just endure it is not consent. sex ed on here and elsewhere doesn’t give a single shit about traumatized people and I wish someone had told me all of this a lot sooner.

tumblr is not a news site. it is a microblogging platform where news is often a topic of discussion, and where users aren’t being paid to curate a balanced portrait of world events. they’re not being paid at all. the fact remains that a third of this site are americans*, and that users are typically dividing their time discussing politics with discussing what fictional character or celebrity they should like to penetrate. it is not the responsibility of random people on this website to reblog enough links to news stories to keep you informed about world events or the goings on in your country. it’s entitled and petulant to accuse others as ignorance because they arent doing anything to keep you up to date.
