Outfit of the Day: Nautical Nonsense.

Fashion Tips:

Commit. Don't be afraid to mix stripes with different patterns. Rock it and wear it proudly!  Don't be that awkward turtle in a super cute outfit!  

The Cuffs. Don't conform to the usual "pants resting on shoes" look.  Double cuff your pants to add a preppy feel. Show a bit of ankle so the world can appreciate your shoe.  This also saves you long hours of attempting to scrub pants dye off of your lightly colored footwear.

Accessorize. Don't ever forget to adorn yourself with jewels!! 

Remember to make your look interesting, not outrageous.

"The Most 'Beautifulest' Thing in This World"

Huge congratulations to the ultimate power couple!  JayZ & Beyonce (as well as the rest of the world) welcomed a bouncing baby girl last Saturday night.  Her name?  Blue Ivy Carter. Such a beautiful, strong, and unique name!  Mother and daughter are said to be doing well and we all know Mr. Carter is gushing over his new princess! Today he released the song "Glory", a tribute to his little girl and an inside look of his heart, his life, and the miscarriage.  Yes, sadly the couple suffered a miscarriage before Blue. Jay openned up to listeners and shared very intimate info, saying:

"Last time the miscarriage was so tragic We was afraid you disappeared But nah, baby you magic"

It's a very sweet, very honest song.  You can find it  HERE!

Park Avenue Runway Show

Last weekend, I spent my entire Saturday evening at Harriet's Park Avenue Runway Show in Winter Park, Florida.  It was super exhausting but so worth it!

Can I just say, this model is perfect! The confidence, the golden Blake Lively locks hair, the "come get me" twinkle in her eye.  Absolutely to die for!  So chic, so sultry in her SULTRE dress and neon, red-soled Louboutin heels.

Every model that stepped foot on the runway looked super gorgeous in their Sultre ensemble.  They reeked of fashion and I drowned in the smell of style and glam.  From glistening dresses, to fur coats,  to chic blazers, to tight movie star dresses, Sultre was pure perfection.

This fiery girl above is modeling TUNI!

This line is wild and fierce, one that can not be tamed. Honestly, I want to dive into a pile of Tuni clothes and emerge with a free, fearless and spunky alter ego with a stellar wardrobe!  These clothes are seriously out of this world.

I adore the long, elegant dress, matched with a fur vest and flat boots. The dramatic eyes, the dark lipstick, the bangles, the glove, the longhorn-like chain... so fierce!

  The gorgeous girl above is modeling THREAD.  This brand is an interesting mix of a relaxed & classic look combined with a vibrant & chic style.

I'm absolutely in love with the dress shown in the photo.  The dress is loose, and relaxed fitting, but the colors are so bright, so true, so beautiful! PFW 2011: Balmain High Waists

Thank the Glam gods high-waisted bottoms are in style. Wearing these is a chic way to show off your hourglass frame!  Pair it with a covering, fairly-loose-fitting shirt!  The way a loose fit up top contrasts with the tightness of your bottoms not only fashionable, but it accentuates your hourglass frame!  By taking the attention away from your "Brooklyn Deckers", it helps emphasize your waist and, if the bottoms are short, your long, skintimate smooth legs will be the talk of the town!

 Always remember: an easy-flowing blouse with a waist on display: Sexy.  Skin tight top, and tight high-waist pantelones: sex.  None of that in public, please get a room!  

I'd like to reiterate what I mean by the phrases "easy-flowing blouse" and "fairly-loose-fitting".  These shirts are a bit slack, even breezy, if you will.  Never pair your glam bottoms with something that resembles a pillowcase with head and arm holes.  This is not an ABC party, honey. Real clothes are a necessity.  Be chic!

Cher Lloyd:With Your Love

Well, hello there Ms. Cher Llyod!  Yes ladies and gentlemen, the X-factor's "Turn My Swag On" singing sensation is back!  Cher and Mike Posner teamed up for the hit song "With Your Love" and released the official video on youtube yesterday.  It's really cute!  I'm happy to see Cher doing big things after the X-Factor.  Her debut album is set to release in the United Kingdom November 7. Steve Jobs. A Genius Never Forgotten

As I sat behind my Mac Book Pro screen and read these heart felt words from Apple.com, I got very emotional.  This truly breaks my heart. Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc, died today at 56 after many years of fighting pancreatic cancer and other health issues.  Click HERE  to see the tribute video made for the man that made it all possible.  May you rest in peace, Steve Jobs. May your legacy live on forever.

Bonjour Octobre!

The leaves are falling, the weather is cool, Starbucks is serving Pumpkin Spice Lattes again... Needless to say, all is right with the world!  Why not enjoy the new fall season while sporting a new outfit?!

This combo, I adore.  To others, it may seem like a lot, but please worry not!  Allow me to strut you through this outfit.

Step One, The basics:

Bright colored bottoms are definitely in, and you know how much I love pinkish hues!  Hence why I built this outfit around these coral reef colored pants from Bloomingdales.  Next, I came across this comfy, but cutesy, v-neck sweater  from Ann Taylor . Everyone loves a little matchy, matchy monochromatic style every once in a while.

Step Two, The Break Up:

No tears necessary ladies!  It's not that kind of break up. It's a fashionable one!  Break up your fit with an everyday, blue denim jacket.  Don't have one?  Get one from Levis! I can honestly say, I have never had a Levis product that has disappointed. This adds some warmth to your outfit in this brisk weather and saves you from looking like an actual Coral Reef, which in my opinnion, isn't always a bad thing. But that's beside the point...

Step Three, Accessorize!:

Weeee! My absolute FAVORITE part of constructing an outfit.  Accessories! Yes, shoes are included in this category.  These heeled booties from Bebe are perfection.  They are sexy and add the right amount of edge needed to make this outfit pop. The necklace, ah the necklace.  A super simple gold chain from Urban Outfitters.  Simply beautiful. And lastly... Earrings.  Earrings make my fashion world go round and round.  To me, an outfit can't be complete without them.  These soft, sea foam green earrings from Urban Outfitters are a pretty, calm, tiny dot of color that doesn't clash with the rest of the outfit. Voilà! A perfect look for fall.  Would you wear this? I know I would!

Maybe Baby?

Blogs and radio gossip segments have been going crazy over this one!  Chris Brown and girlfriend Karrauche are said to be expecting.  According to Media Takeout, one of Karrauche's friends told MTO she is two months pregnant.  As told by this "reliable source", "Karrauche  and Chris  have been trying to get pregnant for a while, so they're happy to be pregnant."

Hmm.... On September 17,  the same day MTO posted the "news", Karrauche tweeted:

I don't know about you guys, but until I get a direct quote from THE couple, I'm not believing it.  I got my hopes high countless times for Beyonce and Jayz, and they all crashed, plummeted to a bottomless pit until she announced it HERSELF on the VMA's.  YAY Beyonce and Jay-Z!

Back to what I was saying... If this is true, CONGRATS TO THE LUCKY COUPLE!  I'm sure the baby will be beautiful and healthy! If not, Media Takeout will have a lot of explaining to do.

Exciting news, EXCITING NEWS! The European Fashion Mavens have granted my numerous amount of wishes!  My absolute favorite store in the whole wide world, Zara, has finally launched a USA online shopping site!  Before, the USA Zara site only allowed you to look, such a tease!  Now you can shop away anytime, anywhere online! The majority of you know how I feel about Zara.  It's my major obsession and, unknowingly, a lot of you share it.

This gorgeous pink blazer I wore for my birthday extravaganza is a magnificent Zara piece I picked up in Florence, Italy.  I got a lot of Facebook likes, comments, texts and tweets about it.  You too, can have an amazing piece like this and you can purchase it online HERE! Scarlett's "Letter"

What a way to completey alter classic literature! The world has come across Scarlett's "Letter" aka nude body!  A MAJOR stretch I know... Just when we all thought the era of nude photo leakage was over, it rears its ugly head again. The latest victim? SCARLET JOHANSSON! I know, I never thought I'd see the day she was in the nudey rudey either. Naked cell phone pictures have officialy surfaced.  Now, whether they're authentic or fabricated is still up in the air.  However, sources close to the actress have told TMZ the starlet is dealing with the FBI about the situation. YIKES! According to the Huffington Post, this scandal began back in March when TMZ reported there were  a group of hackers who stole sensitive photos of about 50 A-list actresses by breaking into their email accounts. Allegedly, Scar Jo was part of the list and thanks to today's leakage, it appears she may have very well been one of the 50. If not, maybe this whole shebang is a publicity stunt? I pray this promiscuous act isn't a cheap way to get people amped up for her current project "The Avengers". That kind of stunt is soo gauche and she is way to classy for that! One Less Single Lady

It's official, Stacey Dash WILL NOT be returning to Single Ladies.  Honestly, I may cry. I LOVE her character, Val!  She was so optimistic, fashionable, and fun to watch!  Who's going to be Keisha's roommate?  Who's going to be all cute and romantic?  Who's going to be the one that everything she wants in life? What's going to happen with the Jerry-Quan-Val  love triangle drama?!  I'm so upset, words can't even describe! Apparently she released this statement exclusively to Global Grind:

"I truly enjoyed playing Val on 'Single Ladies', but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the 'Single Ladies' shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one." VH1 also released a statement saying:  "VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans." Sigh.... Will I stay a loyal Single Ladies fan?  Will the show last?  I'm super sad right now to say the least.

Bey, HOV, and Baby!

The VMAs just started and already I'm over it! The only thing that matters is that BEYONCE IS PREGNANT!! I can't even concentrate on this award show! I'm so excited Beyonce & hubby Jay-Z are expecting!  Future Auntie, Solange, tweeted this: I'll take that as a confirmation!.  If you all remember, in many interviews Beyonce said she wanted to start a family at 30.  Well, she's right on time because her birthday is next week, September 4! Exciting!  She also said she was going to retire at 30.  I really hope she takes that back, the world isn't ready for her to retire!  We love Beyonce!  Anyways, congrats to the beautiful couple! We are all ecstatic for you, Jay, your family and your beautiful little bun in the oven!

Collide

Leona Lewis is at it again with her strong and beautiful voice. "Collide" is an upbeat, romantic song by Leona and Avicii, who is known for his electro house sound.  Clearly, the video is an illustration of young love, and I LOVE IT! This is by far the best portrayal of young love I've seen in a while.  Everyone is all smiles and all for fun.  Nothing sexual and revealing, just a nice happy time at the beach with love and friends.  The one thing I noticed that kind of makes me raise an eyebrow is that it seems she switched loves...   At the start of the video she was fond of a muscular guy with smooth, chocolate skin.  The second one was pretty, with dark features which served as a nice contrast against his creamy, light skin.  Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it?  Take a look at her new video "Collide" and see for yourself:

Steve Jobs Steps Down

"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come," -Steve Jobs

Sadly, Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple.  According to Money.cnn.com, Jobs alluded to his health issues in his letter of resignation.  As most of you know, he's been on medical leave since January. Former Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook has been fulfilling Chief Executive duties during Jobs' absence all along.  Now, he will be fulfilling them permanently as the new CEO of Apple.  Don't worry folks, Jobs isn't giving up Apple completely just yet.  He will serve as Apple's chairman. Introducing the Artemis Griffon by the one and only Christian Louboutin! This lovely bag is part of his Fall/Winter Collection.  Monsieur Louboutin says...

This bag to me is gorgeous.  It is unique chic!  From the plump fur-feather combo, to the red interior, to the golden signature on the right side of the bag, everything is perfect!  If you feel the shoulder piece is more of a shoulder beast no worries, it's removable!  Everybody wins!

A Fashionably Classy Union

I must admit, I'm a little perturbed the anticipation of Kim Kardashian's "Fairytale Wedding" overshadowed Michael Kors' wedding! Sir Michael and long time partner Lance LaPere recieved a marriage license in New York August 4, and tied the knot on Dune Beach in Southampton the 16th!  It was private and simple, which is so classy in my opinion! Bye Bye Bonnie, Hello Baby!

After announcing her pregnancy, Hillary Duff loses the lead role in "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde".  Number one, YAY FOR BABY NUMBER ONE! Number two, boo for being losing her spot!  I was excited to see the dark side of the former Lizzie McGuire actress! According to ENews producers say they were informed Hills wouldn't be available to shoot until June of next year, post-baby.  Because of "obligations with investors", the crew has to stick to their schedule, get the ball rolling and start shooting later this year.  Producers aren't only looking for someone to fill Hills' spot as Bonnie, they are looking for a new Clyde too!  Gossip Girls' Kevin Zegers is being replaced due to a scheduling conflict. Will the replacements be better than the originals casted? Or will it be a waste of time? I don't know about you, but I'm stoked to see who will take these spots!  What I'm even more excited about? HILLS IS HAVING A BABY!
