(Slight Silt Verse spoilers)
Ooookayyyy, so, someone wanted to see some more designs, so here's my Faulkner (from the Silt Verses)!! I usually draw digital and traditional, so I got a lot of sketches. I'm gonna ramble a lot, so... my bad-
He is easily my favorite character. He did so much wrong and I love him still (we gotta love our irredeemably asshole characters sometimes) <3<3
Also, my version of him is NOT like a lot of his other depictions. I headcanoned too close to the sun. But I like it, and I may be cringe, but I am free.
The first image is from when I first started listening to the podcast (like, genuinely might be the first episode). I have my design of Carpenter here too (LOVE strong and buff women with long hair <3)
I imagine that when Faulkner dipped his head into the water to listen to the Trawler-Man's song when he was 13, I had the idea that he also received a blessing then to further his belief. I like octopi, so I made him have some octopus like traits, which includes tentacles in his hair. I like to think about three inches down his scalp his hair turns into those tentacles. They usually are hidden in larger curls for when he's out undercover, but they will unfurl in private or depending on his emotions.
As I continued to listen to the podcast, I continued to add more ideas. I like to think he has big large eyes (as he's said to have a younger and underestimating look to him), and I like to think he can be a bit bioluminescent sometimes in the dark. Which means big scary eyes in the dark that I love.
I recently got to do colors, too, and I don't really like how they turned out, but I like parts of it. I want to change the coloring a bit.
Overall, my version of him is not similar to, like, anyone else's, but I like my little dude. I'll post more of my designs based on if I'm the only person to like this or not :P
I got more to him, too, so I can continue if there's any interest :>
