Mya, my 1980 Volkswagen Vanagon. I was driving home from work a few night ago when I had a moment of realization, a moment of complete mindfulness: Mya has little to no heat, no radio to speak of, no dash lights, hates the cold, sports a few dents, shows a little rust, sings a consistent cacophony, and could breakdown at any given moment. But when the planets aline and the winds are in favor, she sails fearless and true. This van is a very good teacher. I have to be patient, forgiving, caring, determined, all while maintaining mindfulness in order to navigate the seas of life properly.
