why does the past fascinate us?
what am I doing in the endless winter?
looking at rays of hope. moving forward. keeping up my chin. conquering problems. taking wiser decisions. and giggling in shy manner.

"Novembers are for softest sleep when skies are dark and grey. They do not mind the time you keep when night looks much like day. They do not mind the rain that falls so warmly down your cheek. 'Rest easy now' is what they'd say if months knew how to speak."

reciting stanzas of your favorite poems under the light of the moon
pages covered in notes and annotations
repeating words aloud to feel how they roll through your mouth
a love for beauty and the many ways it can be expressed
quiet moments outside, listening to the sounds of nature
paying attention to little things others might miss
understanding the importance of diction and figurative language
studying the lives of famous poets, seeing how their worlds impacted their writing
the crunch of autumn leaves underfoot
an appreciation for those who can use a few words to communicate something infinitely complicated
long hours curled up reading in your favorite chair
feeling a sense of camaraderie between yourself and your favorite poets
thin poetry volumes stacked on your shelves
a love for metaphor and simile
reading the works of Langston Hughes and Emily Dickinson, Jamaica Kincaid and Lord Byron, appreciating the infinite variety
a messy desk, drawers filled with an array of papers
awe over how mere words on a page can transmit deep emotion
cloudy mornings
a notebook filled with half-formed poems, lines and stanzas borne from a moment of inspiration
warming your fingers on a mug of hot tea
seeking a way to capture the human condition in ink on the page
using poetry to make sense of your world and experiences

It is August. My life is going to change. I feel it.
#august slipped away like a bottle of wine
night holding moon, purple spring is here
pure comfort, you between my arms, letting foget yourself and feeling all over me, it gets tighter and warm, no words just feels understanding feelings, smelling like a happy spring day, sunshine in my mind and aesthetic clouds, our gazes just like rosemary growing, hands locked and you hearing my heartbeat, getting weak like a sad evening and me hearing your heartbeat, fast, like chaotic breeze of air, letting your every emotion in as you hug even tight, comforting you with my longest touch, as we fall apart, i look into those sparkly eye stars saying just stay with me and i hug my safe place, until we both feel okay and next time as I'll hold you i promise I won't let you go anywhere, spring in my soul. please don't leave yet, hold me again like night holds moon.
