Troy is only vulnerable for his s/o.
One of his biggest insecurities is his missing arm.
Sure, he hadn’t had a second arm his whole life, he was use to it. His prosthetic worked fine, but he didn’t like using it all the time.
On his days off, he prefers not to wear it. It’s extremely heavy, and pulls on his back a lot.
Troy only takes it off around people he really trusts, which is just his twin Tyreen, and his s/o.
But just because he’s comfortable with taking his prosthetic off, doesn’t mean his not insecure about his missing limb.
He’s not extremely vocal about it either, but his s/o picks up on immediately. They know something is off.
After a little questioning, Troy opens up to his s/o with his whole heart since he trusts them so much.
“It’s weird... I look weird, s/o. I look like a monster... one arm monster...”
He just feels a bit useless without his other arm. Sure, he hasn’t had a second limb since birth really, but it’s upsetting. No prosthetic can make him feel normal really.
Sure his big prosthetic arm is more of an aesthetic choice for his God-Like character, but it doesn’t really make him feel normal.
Despite his ramblings, his s/o listens intently. They really want to help their boyfriend.
Troy’s s/o offers support, love, compassion.
They may not understand what it’s like to be missing a limb, but sure know that it doesn’t make Troy any less important to them.
He’s still just as attractive to them, with or without an arm.
After hearing that, Troy feels a lot better about his missing limb. He still is a bit insecure about it, but he appreciates his s/o’s support.
Tyreen doesn’t even tease Troy about his missing arm. Even the crazy God Queen understands boundaries.
When Troy is editing on a comfy day (aka no arm day), he often asks his s/o to hit certain keys for him. For their help, he often shares the credit with his s/o.
Troy is extremely proficient in using only one arm, and it’s kinda scary.
For how well he works with one arm, Troy shouldn’t be as upset over having one arm as he is.
Even with his s/o’s support, he still is very insecure about it.
But Troy’s s/o support means a LOT to him, and helps him overcome his insecurities.
It may take some time, but if his s/o will stand by him, Troy will become comfortable and happy with himself.
