Episode three of season two pissed me off so much that now I'm back on my bullshit and obsessing over the injustice of THE Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, Prince of Dragonstone and Heir to the Iron Throne. And don't even make me mention Rhaenyra, because show Rhaenyra is beyond salvation.

I'm waiting for the Cregan Stark casting announcement to restart the passion i have for f&b/hotd, because honestly, the stupid takes from greenfans just completely killed my joy for the fandom. :(

I know it's a fictional show, fandom etc, but the hatred people seem to have for the "bastards", the SEXISM. It even takes away the fun of arguing with people with different opinions than yours, because most of them will just say the most outwordly, bigoted, sexist thing ever.

Also, there is this weird Helaena obsessed anon, who somehow just keeps coming back sending hateful messages, and honestly, I always felt they wasted Helaena's potential in the show, but that anon legit makes me even dislike Helaena!! The whore vs Madonna complex is sickening, and you know that they love to paint Helaena as this pure, submissive woman, who accepts being miserable, because that's her place as a woman. So tiring and sickening.

Anyways, I don't even know why I'm rumbling, just wanted to share how all this radical fans kinda killed my spark for the lore, that's why I was inactive.

With all that said, I decided to just take it easy, and post more silly stuff, AUs and headcanons, share my ideas for my guilty pleasure rair pairings. As always I would love to listen to yours as well, my submissions are open again!

It's so funny how greenies are like "the v boys are bland and boring!" Then say "they are bullies!" And never bring up Aegon (who is the eldest of the little group) being the ring master 😭

Like, Luke slashed out a little brat's eye and didn't feel bad! (As he should! Aemond shouldn't have made threats!) And then laughed to said brat's face bc he remembered the prank! (Granted it was probably the wine but you know!)

Jace made such strong packs with allies that even after his and nyra's death, they FOUGHT FOR HER!!!!

That's more then aegon's "daddy never loved me :(" stuff he pulls. Or Aemond making his lost eye his ENTIRE PERSONALITY FOR YEARS and kills a 13 year old over it and starting a war that would end up with a sword through his good eye and his corpse being left at the bottom of waves!

I'm gonna be honest, I stopped reading it half-way through, because the problems OP raised with the boys are so inconsistent!

They say the boys are bland and boring and have no personality, but then they go on and on, how much personality they actually show!

All what this whole take is about how they are mad that the show doesn't show their own headcanons about the boys. According to them they should be bullies, horrible, violent people, but when they actually show a glimpse of them acting out (like Luke smirking at Aemond about the pig, Jace getting angry about the bastard comments), than that's also a problem, because how dare they! I really don't understand.

One thing I wanted mention though. I find it really hypocritical how Jace getting mad about the bastardy comments are always framed as him being a hot-headed, violent person. His reaction towards insults of his entire existance (over something he has no control over and is very dangerous to his actual safety or his brothers or mother) is too much, not deserved, he should do better - which by the way, he actually does in book canon! Him punching Aemond or getting so worked up over his insult went the exact opposite in the book, he remained unfazed by Aemond's comments. But when it's Aemond getting mad over Luke smiling at the pig, all his actions are not just accepted, but applauded! Aemond can hold a grudge for years, and kill Luke (and make an entire house extinct, kill hundreds, if not thousands of innocent people, insult his nephews for decades over something they have no control over and could mean actual death to them), it's all justified, because he lost his eye.

(I'm not saying Aemond should let go of his resentment towards Luke for taking his eye. No, he shouldn't, but neither should Jace or his brothers for how the greens treat and continue to treat them. It's just annoying how again the standard they hold Aemond to is basically non-existent, while Jace and Luke have to be saints and intelligent beyond their years for the greens and their stans to grant them the chance to freaking exist. But then, even if they are saints and intelligent beyond their years is a problem, you literally can't win.)

I saw greenie stans say that Nyra would have killed a woman who 'dared' come forward if Jace or Luke raped them???? And I am like????? It's not Jace or Luke raping the servant girls 🤷

It's generally ridiculous when greenies try to say that Alicent "stuck her neck out" for women and I am like how??? By giving her moon tea and gold to get out??? Okay but she still instilled her rapist son into the most powerful position of the realm???? It's generally disturbing how George is like "hey, how we treat kids born out of wedlock is wrong." They legit just close their eyes and act as if Nyra NOT WANTING TO ASSAULT HER GAY HUSBAND is a crime purchasable by usurping and or death???? And like???? It would have been nearly impossible to find a guy who she could trust to keep the secret and would allow his children to be claimed/adopted by another man (And don't even get me started on the greenies hating Harwin either 💀)

It's wild that they legit say they hated how Alicent was portrayed as an evil step mother (in the books) but then reduce her down to a pawn and a child bride. Like??? At least book Alicent had ambition and wasn't otto's pawn???? If my fantasy book ever becomes a show and they pull the same shit they did for Alicent and Nyra I will shoot myself 😭

I actually laughed at that, you are so right anon, for how much (especially in the early 2010s) GOT got praised for having 'strong female characters', they really butchered both Alicent and Rhaenyra to make them both sympathetic.

I saw numerous posts about the greens fantasizing about Jace and Luke committing r4pe and Rhaenyra covering for them on reddit, those are have to be the biggest copiums ever :D They would do anything, but actually acknowledge that they are supporting a man who is canonically a r4pist. Recently, I have noticed this pattern, how they try to bring down Rhaenyra and her sons to the same level as Alicent and her sons (minus Daeron). They are so close to getting it, yet they refuse to see it. The delusion can be quite blinding, I guess. 

Oh, I agree with you so much! Claiming that team green is actually team women is even bad as a joke. It’s honestly exhausting, how they have to bend over themselves in so many ways, making up things so they can wash themselves of any criticism. You can support whoever team or character you want, but at least own up to what you stick your neck out for. Claiming that team green is ‘team women’, when their entire cause is based on the very fact and claim that they think a woman shouldn’t rule and instead a man should, just for the mere fact that he is in possession of a dick is anything but ‘team women’. Their idea of womanhood borders with victimhood. I swear, I’m baffled how HOTD brought up so many forgotten ideologies about a “woman’s place” in asoif. Same with the bastardy issue. Game of Thrones wasn’t perfect, but if it did anything right (in the beginning at least) then it was fighting hateful ideologies marginalized groups faced.

People were ready to call for Gendry ( a bastard son of Robert) or Jon Snow ( a man known as a bastard in his entire life, given some very questionable, half-assed reason how he is trueborn - legally, he can’t be trueborn, because multiple wives are not accepted in Westeros at that time) to sit on the Iron Throne as the rightful heirs (over Daenerys, a woman, with both the claim and the ambition to be Queen, but that’s another post for another day), yet all was forgotten, when it’s about a woman having ‘bastards’. Jace, Luke and Joffrey are not bastards on the same level as Gendry or even Jon Snow. For one, they were never legally anything, but trueborn. Two, they were born in a mutual understanding between consenting parties, with the knowledge and clear support of Laenor. I know it’s rotten work to try to place team black characters into modern perspective (that’s only allowed for the likes of Alicent!), but their situation was basically a form of surrogacy/adoption. 

Honestly, I loved book!Alicent. Yes, she was a horrible person, but she was actually smart, cunning, ambitious and ruthless, when needed. She could have been an amazing antagonist, if they were willing to write her with some agency of her own. That doesn’t even mean that she had to remain the stereotypical evil stepmom. Her character, her motivation, especially in parallel to Rhaenyra could have been so interesting, actually starting conversations about topics such as womanhood, feminism, motherhood, the very thin line between greed or ambition, but no, all we got instead is the forever 14 childbride with the always teary eyes, getting pushed around, and made into a dumb, delusional person. What a waste Alicent was made into in the show!

I always thought it was meant to be cringe, just another moment to let Aemond's delusional state and superiority complex shine, but I have seen so many people take it seriously and use it to justify Aemond deserving the Iron Throne the most, and making headcanons about how smart and dutiful he is.

Sansa has canonly been with an Aegon and an Aemond in the form of Joffrey and Ramsey, and she openly despised them and cheered their deaths. Why would anyone think she'd want Aemond of all people? jfc she'd fall for Jace with his dark locks and bold personality, or Luke who's so sweet and genuine and would offer to show her the seas, anywhere she wants to go.

I have seen a few Sansa/Aemond fics, and while I try not to criticise people's fanfiction tastes, I do find this pair very weird.

They way Aemond behaves, especially his relationship with Alicent too, would be all major redflags for Sansa. She literally suffered through at the hands of people like them, falling for the likes of Aemond/Aegon II is, I think, out of question for Sansa.

Sansa Stark would actually love love Jacaerys Velaryon. He could be her Prince Charming okay, the one who is a breath of fresh air after all the horrible men around her.

Take your clutches away from Sansa Stark, Alicent stans, just because D&D ruined her arc in the last seasons, Sansa would never be your red-headed Alicent stan.

Just take your time, do what you must, everything you do, we will support you and root for you! It doesn't matter if you don't ride your dragon out into battle or avange your sons, it's okay, you will be always the perfect, most deserving Queen to us!
