Open Starter: Out and About

Chinhwa finds himself on the city streets, looking for a place to have a small bite to eat and perhaps some decent coffee. It’s his lunch break, and he’s decided to go out rather than order in, just for a change of pace. It’s a daring move, considering how recognizable he is, but he hopes his hat and scarf will disguise his appearance well enough to not be bothered too much. He happens upon a café that appears nice enough, with a balcony that seems rather deserted. Perfect. He can sit and sip a latte and stare out at the cityscape.
There’s a lot on the vampire’s mind as he walks into the café and places his order, a sandwich and an iced mocha for a little boost. His thoughts have been rather muddled of late, thanks to a few pretty faces, one, in particular, that seems to have taken up permanent residence in his heart. Some time alone to think outside of the hustle and bustle of his office building ought to do him some good, or so he hopes. Once his order is ready, he pays and thanks the barista, taking his food up to the top floor and taking a seat, beginning to eat.
Several minutes pass by in complete and total silence, and it’s rare and so blissful. Chinhwa has removed his scarf now so he can eat properly, so anyone sitting close enough would be able to make out his features with a fair amount of ease. It’s not long, however, before the vampire senses a presence nearby, and someone approach in his peripheral. He doesn’t bother to look up yet, figuring if the individual wants something from him, they’d speak up eventually. It’s only when he feels a pat on his shoulder that he chances a glance upward.
“Well hello.” The CEO greets the newcomer, as casually as he can manage. “Can I help you?”
gyujin had been rather distracted from duties as of late. with gang war just around the corner, alongside the looming danger that may arise upon his own gang -- however left out they were from catastrophe -- didn’t escape his mind that things may hit the fan at any given moment. particularly given how still everything felt. in comparison to the ambushes and kidnappings that had befallen the other gangs, things seemed rather stagnant given circumstance. and for that, he couldn’t help but remain on edge.
with this in mind, he’d often times taken to scouting on his own. his gang were good at what they did, had eyes everywhere through technology, though he’d rather not through them into the mix if he could help it. thus found him here, a cafe known to have a perfect view of everything, to be a watcher from afar.
gyujin, himself, ordered nothing more than a black coffee, stuffed in a to-go cup in order to make ends easier. he could use the wake up call, anyway, through added awareness. the last thing he wanted was to look out through boredom or the dwelling notion of exhaustion. while undead, he couldn’t help but adopt human faults such as those. to which found him wandering to the balcony with his hot drink in hand. of course, he wasn’t expecting the balcony to be entirely vacant, given how nice it was outside. thus, he was hardly surprised when his eyes caught another sat at such heights. it was, however, a surprise when he’d recognised who, exactly, it was.
one was hard pressed as of late to go their lives without seeing the faces of ceo’s lingering around korea, and this was one of those cases. perhaps something could come from this?
with that in mind, the gang leader allowed a delicate hand to tap on the other’s shoulder, charmed grin in its place. “mind if i join you?”
