Tastes and aromas. What a fun little chart!
Louis: *in a crowd and canât find Lestat*
Louis: *cups hands to make megaphone*
Louis: LESTAT SUCKS!
Lestat, from a distance: WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!
Louis: There he is
âShout out to all the blogs that have had to archive or go on hiatus due to real life getting too busy, we're here, we'll wait patiently for you to come back, if you decide to do so. I like it when they post a last message explaining why they're going, and leave the blog open so we can still browse their archive. It's even better when they do come back!â
âAll the props to thelionscrimsonclaws . Their Lestat is magnificent and completely on point. It really is like Lestat himself made a blog and they seem to stay in character most of the time outside of rp-replies as well, which is impressive dedication to the character.â

//am I correct if I say your theme doesn't work for Chrome? I can't navigate anywhere without ending on the same starting screen. None of the links take me anywhere else than that.
Weâve had a couple people say that it is a little buggy in chrome, which is a bit odd since I did build it in chrome. Some of it, like the scrollbar issue, might just be from differences in screen size.Â
I'll take a look and make sure all the links are coded in there right, but I do want to mention that if you click a link, it will scroll back up to the title and three main links, and youâll have to scroll down to see any of the posts. I hope that helps, and if not, the problem should be fixed very soon!
We have now posted over two hundred positive confessions from members of this fandom in the five months since this blog opened.
Letâs keep it up!
âShout out for Queen of the dammed for ending with Louis and Lestat making out in a graveyard and the Lestat saying "let's go terrorize and old man and then I'll buy you a coat" which they then do, a sequence of events that never fails to make me laugh and never fails to get s reaction out of non-VC fans when I summarize that ending as suchâ
âI think that "Claudia's Story" is one of the most honest narrations in the series. Louis and Lestat, and the rest of the coven tell their stories to others, but Claudia's story is told inside her head: we're getting her thoughts, rather than her memories or her statements to another person like we do with the others. Sure, she has a warped view of the story, but she has no agenda, nothing to convince us of.â
âI had mostly dealt in a totally different roleplay community until my love for TVC rekindled recently. I know each community has it's share of problems and drama but compared to where I came from this place has the hostility of a kitten and I love it so much. I don't feel judged around here and I feel free to write how I please. It's wonderful and I couldn't be happier. You are all amazing.~â

If I want to be selective, or semi-selective, do I need to make a list of people who I want to (or usually) roleplay with? What if that person (or everyone) doesn't want to be in the list?
{{I should be answering this privately, but canât, bc youâre on anon. I do know some things about RP, but I am in no way an authority on it. Ask a few RPers for their definitions. Anyone can reblog this and add their comments, too.}}
One thing is for sure: Donât make a public list of people you plan to RP with. It can make the not-listed people feel left out and can lead to you getting anonhate. You can do what you like privately, of course! Make all the lists you want privately.Â
Now, itâs fine to make a tag list AFTER you have been RPing and have multiple muse interactions, itâs a nice way to organize your threads and give your readers/followers a way to look on your blog for certain interactions ;]
âselectiveâ means that you only RP with mutuals (ppl who you follow & who also follow you).
âsemi-selectiveâ means you RP mainly with mutuals, but are open to others on a case-by-case basis.Â
In my blogâs description I have: âSometimes a selective Ask blogâ which I wrote before I knew the fandom definition of âselective.â I was/am using that in the normal context of the word, meaning that I will sometimes answer things as my muse RP, if it feels appropriate. Â
Hello there! Mind if I add my two cents to this post? In my own opinion as a roleplayer, I use the terms selective, semi-selective, and highly selective to mean that I will be picky, kind of picky, or really picky when picking which threads I will keep or what muses I will interact with. That means that I never really have a set list of people Iâm willing to write with, but that I will be a bit more choosey with my activity. I do this because my time is spread thin across my various blogs, and I would drown in drafts if I wasnât at least somewhat selective with what threads I was going to keep.Â
I think that selective might not be the best word to use if youâre looking to keep a set list of specific blogs. Instead, you might want to look into the terms âClosed Roleplay Blog,â meaning that you have a closed group of people already picked to interact with; or âSingleverse Roleplay Blog,â meaning that all of your interactions are kept within one single storyline (and subsequently involve only one set of character).Â
I know there are probably other, better words out there, but I canât think of them for the life of me right now; and also, I donât know entirely what your situation is, so in the end selective might still be the best word for you to use! At the end of the day, whatever you chose to call your blog-selective, closed, or something else-a public list of people you plan on interacting with is generally a bad idea, and despite good intentions, it usually only serves as fodder for drama.Â
âClaudia was never one of my favorite characters in the series, but after seeing all of the love and care she's been given from writers and roleplayers, I've really warmed up to her. Here's to all of the Claudia's out there who give her character the love and attention she deserves!â
âI've known askthebratprince for several years now, and even though we don't really get a chance to interact all that much, I'm always excited to see their hilarious, vainglorious, exuberant Lestat on my dash.â
âI adored Vittorio, and I wish that he and Ursula played a larger role in the series as a whole, and that Anne Rice wrote a few more "New Tales of the Vampires" spotlighting the new characters that we met in Prince Lestat, /before/ PL was released.â
âI was so happy when I found out that Pandora had her own novel, she's one of the most fascinating characters in the series with a very different set of morals than the others have, and a very different world view.â
