“hey, that’s up to you to decide.” anya says as she takes a sip from her new drink. “i’m just a non-judgemental board-friend to bounce your ideas off of. you can talk about whatever you want about this person in question.” she continues while stifling a yawn. after shaking her head to the sides to wake herself up, she continues, trying to enunciate her words as clearly as possible. “people can’t hold in stuff forever. sooner or later they’re going to explode, trust me.” the girl notes with a raised eyebrow. “let everything out in front of me so that you won’t risk flustering in front of this person who you clearly care for a lot.”
anya notices that the alcohol in her drink had been replaced with sugar just now, once she had drank a quarter of it. “okay, this is really sweet,” she notes with a crinkled nose, but that doesn’t stop her from taking another gulp of the drink.
“well, there’s not much to say.” he said shrugging off the idea, he didn’t even dare to entertain it one bit. nope. vanellope was his friend, and however excited he had gotten for finally meeting someone he trusted in real life and whatever came after, was just for him to process. and frankly, varian hated the idea of being a burden too. despite how much anya insisted on it.
“i guess i’m just happy. in general. i’m a happy dude for once.” he insisted. “woah missy, take it easy or you might get a hangover in the morning...”
