So I kept meaning to do this, but I kept putting it off. But no moment like the present right? I’m Iris (aka garbage) and this is my dorter Veronica “Vee” Winters.

she is nonbinary using they/her ( honestly whatever you feel she’d be okay with tbh ) pronouns and is a first year med student at columbia university.

she grew up in orange county, california to well-known doctor parents and wants to become an oncologist. she’s an only child and is very close to her family.

knows that they could easily use their parents’ names to help their career and schooling, but refuses to do so. both her parents went to school on the west coast, and upon college application season, veronica wanted to get away from people who knew their parents. new york/columbia was kind of perfect because it was a good school and while people did know of their parents, they didn’t know them. they pretty much only brings up their parents when someone mentions it.

in her junior year of high school she got into a car accident with her cousin ( who was pretty much like her brother ). she was driving them home from a party late one night when a drunk driver hit her side of the car. while she survived and still has some complications with her mobility at times, her cousin died before the ambulance arrived. she has a tattoo of the date he died on her left shoulder blade in remembrance.

this is the second year she’s lived in her apartment. it’s incredibly convenient for her because it’s not a stones throw away from the train station. she lives above a boiga joint and i’m 50000000% sure she’s living in astoria because of the food.

she mainly takes morning classes so she can work part time in the afternoons and early evenings at lennox hill hospital as a medical receptionist and organizes the bimonthly blood drive for the hospital.

she’s generally pleasant to talk to unless you give her a reason for her not to like you.

i’m making a page for her soon, but until then have this mess and feel free to message me to plot!
