i forgot, a couple nights ago we had this real “meat and potatoes” kind of midwestern meal, complete with a hearty tofu and split pea onion gravy pot pie. i have to work on the recipe a little because i want the crust crispier and more brown, but they were delicious still. i’ve also been doing this thing where i steam a corn cob and then roast it in its husk, and they turn out awesome. they’re just juicy and crispy enough that they don’t even need any oil. finally, those potatoes are part of a recipe i’ve been working on for the perfect vegan mashed potato; they actually contain vegan plain coconut yogurt, but that’s not their only secret. they are sooo gooood.

I got to go to The Hunger Games Exhibition today and it was so cool!!

All the clothes were the ones worn in the movies, the lights in the opening room were from the movie set, and they had the Mockingjay pin JLaw wore in the movie on display at the end and passed it around (it’s the one in the big glass case in the last pic!) It was so interactive and cool!! And it was funny bc since the clothes worn by the actors Jennifer’s clothes pretty much completely fit the mannequins but then Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Woodley Harrelsons clothes like swallowed he mannequins lol!! And Peeta’s mannequin had to be so short so the clothes would fit on it lol!!

It was such a fun experience! And I got a sweater at the end that’s super cute! It’s a long sleeved grey sweater that has and arrow with the little Mockingjay symbol and it says “Make them remember you” 😌 I love it!

(And yes, that is a picture of me touching JLaws dress after going over the bar when no one was watching 😏 hehe I toooouchedddd it 🙈)

These are unhealthy ducks. They are dull looking with what appears to be some type of respiratory infection.

This chicken has a case of untreated and severe leg mites. It is inexpensive to treat this condition.

The yard for a couple of pigs. Notice the amount of feces - this requires weeks of not cleaning. Pigs are clean animals - this is not an appropriate outdoor area for a pig.

No water, food discarded on the ground.

This is the “yard” for a pig. It’s caked feces and mud. Water is disgusting and unclean.

Goats with overgrown hooves that have not received proper treatment/care. 

Please sign and reblog to demand that the RSPCA (England & Wales) and the South Bucks District Council investigate the Dorney Animal Sanctuary (a.k.a. The Animal Sanctuary UK) for improper care of the rescued animals at their facility. 

These precious souls deserve a true sanctuary where their housing is free of mud and feces, they are provided appropriate space, vet care, food, and water, and where they can thrive. 

Sanctuaries are safe havens. These pictures depict egregious conditions that should have been rectified immediately and indicate a prolonged lack of proper care.
