Hey there! I am a 23-year-old student living in London. This is a side blog to follow my progress into veganism and my ongoing battle with mental health issues. I have suffered with depression on and off from the age of 11 and more recently have suffered from bi-polar and acute psychosis, for which I am now taking medication. Following a short stay in hospital, I have decided to fully document my journey and how I've learnt to look after myself. I have been following a plant-based vegan diet since Jan 2016, but started transitioning long before that. I am now focused on becoming as healthy, green and happy as possible and this blog is dedicated to showcasing all of my efforts (and things that inspire me). My Personal Blog

My skincare haul from superdrug! :) In the spirit of the new year, I'm trying to take better care of myself all round. And what better way to do that than to make my skin feel amazing with the superdrug B. range which is all completely vegan. I got everything here for £17.76 in their half price sale. Yay! :)

Christmas!

I had a brilliant Christmas this yeah. It was my first Christmas dinner without meat and I didn’t miss a thing. It’s was only vegetarian, which is sad, but I’m looking forward to making the vegan pledge on new years day!

The Tofurky roast I had was gorgeous, and I really recommend it. It came with a lovely gluten free gravy too. I’m not really a fan of gravy, but it was really nice.

I was also spoilt to the max with new vegan cookbooks. They look amazing and so helpful and I’m just really happy. Two were from my brother and his girlfriend, who I thought weren’t particularly supportive of my choice so it was a lovely surprise. The other two were from my amazing boyfriend who, though not vegan himself, believes in me a lot and yeah. ^_^.

I guess I’m just really excited to take this on. I will post some reviews and what not from the lovely recipes when I experiment with them!

My first steps.

Hey, I’m Sami. I’m a 21-year-old student living in London and I have recently began the amazing journey into a cruelty free vegan lifestyle. Veganism has been on my mind for a long time and now is better than any time to make the transition.

I’m pretty late to the show. I became a pescatarian in April 2015, and when I moved back to London in September I cut out fish too. Since then I have been researching and experimenting with the vegan diet, as well as looking into cruelty free cosmetics and household items. 

This journey has been fun and interesting already, and I want to share my experiences with anyone considering the leap too. I set a date months ago to say I would be completely vegan from the new year. New Year New Me and all that bullshit. So here I am, starting a blog to get motivated and everything.
