More little cows.
Always stay kind 💖
me, who never fucking asked but is still having to sit through ur monologue about why u don’t feel the need to go vegan and how u “don’t even eat a lot of meat anyway” after finding out i’m vegan:
Unpopular opinion:
It's totally okay to have your cat or dog companion on a vegan diet as long as it's done correctly with a good fortified vegan pet food and their health is being monitored.
Look. I have family who were born and raised on a dairy farm. Family who are hunters and use horses and are your typical yee-haw rednecks. I was raised to worship meat-and-cheese dishes at Mormon potlucks.
If anyone understands what it’s like to be raised in a culture that never, EVER questions eating meat, it’s me.
Yet here I am, a vegan of 14 years, telling you that family traditions don’t mean shit if they depend on exploiting others. They don’t mean shit if they rely on you doing the same ol thing without questioning anything you’ve ever been told. (Funnily enough, breaking away from the Mormon church was a very similar experience to breaking away from carnist beliefs, but that’s a whole other story.)
People always assume vegans were just raised that way. I wasn’t. Pretty much everybody my age (30+) didn’t even know what a vegan was while growing up. But times change. Perceptions shift. We’re challenging more and more the once-sacred, never-questioned belief that humans are superior and we can do whatever the hell we want because it’s our God-given, divine right.
It’s time to grow up. Go vegan. And start taking care of animals, each other, and the planet, like we’re supposed to.

“I don’t care if you cuddle the cows to sleep every night and feed them home cooked meals, you’re still prepping them to be slaughtered and profiting off that. Fuck your #notallfarms bullshit”

Hot take but as somebody who’s suffered severe anxiety and depression for most of my life and has always lacked any real confidence to voice my feelings on certain things I wholeheartedly admire vegans who have the confidence and self esteem to openly talk about their veganism or have vegan bumper stickers on their cars etc. Like, if anti-vegans can have their pro-bacon t-shirts and meat festivals then we can have our vegan t-shirts and stuff. Buy all of the vegan merchandise and wear it. Cover your car in vegan bumper stickers. Fuck everything and fuck the anti-vegans who screech ‘found the vegan’ jokes at you just do what you want with confidence because veganism is a good thing and we should be proud and happy about it.
My kinda sign!
I will never get used to seeing committed anti-capitalists enthusiastically defending the meat and dairy industries.
The official term for them is hypocrite
sometimes i hate tumblr but then one of you posts a picture of a little cow with curly hair. and i remember why im here.
People act like veganism is so difficult to understand but it’s just like… It’s really only doing the best you can to not kill animals when you don’t have to and making the most compassionate choice when and if possible. It’s not that deep, bro.
Getting real tired of carnists
stop contributing to suffering.
