The very first recipe we tried from Natalie Slater's totally awesome Bake and Destroy cookbook!
We have been admirers of Natalie's for such a long time and these cookies did not disappoint. They were so light and fluffy and delicious. And the pecans are a perfect touch.
Good food for bad vegans, indeed. We can't wait to try more recipes!
Chocolate Pumpkin Bundt Cake with Lemon Glaze Icing
Bundt cakes are so comforting, and this pumpkin chocolate one is perfect for the coming autumn. It's a perfect blend of spices and chocolate richness. We made the icing up from confectioner's sugar, almond milk, and a few splashes of lemon extract. Delish!

So good. Herbivore in San Francisco delivers some vegan goodness again with this combo plate: french toast, tofu scramble, house potatoes, maple syrup and v. butter.

Another delicious dish from Herbivore-- this was sooo delicious. Savory vegan crepes filled with spinach, tofu, cheeze, mushroom, onions, artichoke hearts and capers with a side of house potatoes, loaded with a bucketful of fresh basil pesto. We weren't sure how good this would be based on how it looks— but it was ah-ma-ZING!
A super delicious, raw, vegan salad from Six Main Restaurant in Chester, CT. Bad iphone picture due to low candle-light conditions-- but perfect for a romantic date. Holla for persimmon seeds!
We love Herbivore in San Francisco. This was a delicious vegan "sausage" biscuit served with potatoes and a tomato avocado side salad.
Ah snap! While in San Francisco we visited Shangri-La Vegetarian Restaurant on Irving Street, and enjoyed this delicious vegan sweet and sour pork delicacy served in a amazing pineapple! It was well worth the 40 minutes it took us to find a parking space.
Once we found Herbivore's Divisadero location, we kept coming back for more vegan meals. This breakfast was such a great way to start the day: grilled corn cakes, black beans, tomato chipotle salsa, guacamole, and vegan sour cream with house potatoes. Yummy!
Mexicali Chop Real Food Daily tossed up romaine lettuce, pinto beans, avocado, seasonal vegetables, and baked tortilla strips with lime-cilantro dressing into a gigantic bowl of freshness. Probably should have skipped the coconut vanilla "milkshake" if we wanted to finish this baby off.

"Carne Asada" Sandwich Veggie Grill delivered with this spicy delicious sandwich. Wow! The flavors were spectacular.
Not-Chos Real Food Daily busted out some super-fine vegan nachos for us. Melted cashew cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, tofu sour cream and guacamole....
