When you say you cannot be racist to a white person, are you aware of the difference between "rasicm" and "oppression"? Rasicm is when you give a certain quality to a race as a whole, whether its "all Mexicans are illegal", "all blacks are up to no good" or "all white people are Privilaged" it's assigning a certain characteristic to an entire group, or race of people. Oppression is when a group of people uses their power to put another, less powerful group of people down.
oh my god this is just hilarious you sent me three messages raginatrotter you literally don’t understand anything about race so bye
-1 year on Earth is 3/4 Earth year on Venus, but 29.7 Earth years on Saturn
-Dogs live approximately 7x less years than humans
-Dogs are aliens
Actually so fucking tired of ptsd!!!!!!!
You seem very bitter tbh
Have you ever met an ethical vegan who wasn't bitter?
I've been trying to become a vegetarian for health, weight, and animal reasons but I don't know how. I don't want to eat meat but I literally never have a full fridge of other options than just whatever we have even if it's meat. And with all the fast food chains it's hard not to be drawn to eating their cheap meat. I really don't know how to commit to being a vegetarian but I want to so badly. Please help?
Well it depends on your circumstances. Why don't you have vegan options at home? Are you still living with your parents? Can you try to appeal to them to let you eat what you want / for your own moral reasons?
The main thing to focus on is WHY you want to be vegan. And then whenever you're tempted by anything, remind yourself of the why. Over and over again.
You said Caesar is the best dressing but you know it has anchovies in it right?
Yeah it also typically has dairy in it..... I make my own from cashews or buy a vegan version. There are tons of recipes online for some gr8 ones.
You surprise me when you say "you can't be racist toward white people". In this world, people are giving colored people much more opportunities in society, just to be more "politically correct". Everyone deserves to have a chance in the world. I get that. But you can't play the pity card saying that people of color are entitled to certain things. Nobody is. And if you're trying to promote equality, you're doing it the wrong way. Equality means equal rights for all. Not just people of color.
yr white-ness is showing
I was vegetarian for almost half a year, but after a series of events I'd rather not specify, I got sick and I ate meat. I'm so upset w myself. I'm obviously not eating it now and haven't since, and don't plan on ever eating it again; but do you have any advice? ):
Forgive yourself.
Don’t tell me to grow up when what you really mean is ‘stop being mentally ill.’
You care so much about animals and the well being of creatures big and small but you speak so poorly on the Caucasian race. I don't understand this war on white people. They have nothing to do with their ancestors, and I've never been treated poorly by a white person. You should be ashamed of yourself
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
Any idea if the folks over at Thug Kitchen are black? They post great recipes and all, but as a black vegan, I don't want to support the mockery of black culture, ESPECIALLY when someone's profiting from that mockery.
im not sure. anyone else know?
i don't want to see or be seen by omnivores.
What do you think about dating someone who isn't vegan/even vegetarian?
i won't. it hurts to watch people i care about disregard the feelings of all beings, and something i care about so much. and thats just in my family. it would be ten times worse if it was someone i was dating.
Female nonhumans are reduced to reproductive organs and body parts. Their worth is in milk produced, eggs laid, babies born. It is not impossible to see intersectionality there. They may not have “womanhood” but they have personhood. They are someones who have wants and desires outside of the ones imposed upon them by humans. The exploitation of nonhumans for the production of dairy and eggs is gendered. Male “egg-type” chicks are killed they day they are sexed (they do not grow like the chickens you eat). Their sisters are artificially selected to lay 5 times more eggs than normal. What is supposed to be a natural cycle of reproduction has been disturbed. Instead of laying a clutch of eggs to hatch the next generation, hens on egg farms are exploited for the benefit of humans. Female cows are artificially inseminated. Unlike in natural conditions, they do not choose their own mate. Their bodies are artificially synched to enter estrus at the same time. Worse, their babies are torn from them at birth. They grieve and scream and rage against these losses. I have witnessed a cow bellow so loudly my bones vibrated - she wanted her baby. To farmers, her value is her udder, her uterus. Nothing more. To them, she is not a unique individual. She is not a valued matriarch or sister or daughter or mother or friend. She is a milk production unit. She is exploited because of her gender. She is mistreated because of her gender. Her calves are maternally deprived because of her gender. Human mothers are taught from a young age that the only way to raise a healthy child is with the breast milk of another species. They are conned into believing a lie. A lie, by the way, that reduces other females to body parts, objects, commodities, less than. Humans are animals. Cows are animals. Chickens are animals. All of us have blood and sinew and emotions. And it is not hard to see the intersections between the fight to stop oppression of human women and girls and that to stop the oppression of nonhuman females. One just needs to look. And more importantly, one needs to reflect. Realizing one’s contribution to the exploitation of other females (to anyone!) can be heart-wrenching and tough. But it is the only just thing to do. We hope human women realize how abusive the egg & dairy industries are to female cows and female chickens. That in order to liberate ourselves from participating in that cruelty means liberating our fellow nonhuman sisters. There is justice in that.

im seriously considering going vegan, do you have any tips or anything on how to go about it?
If you're going from omnivore, I'd say stock up on meat and cheese alternatives, just to stop the cravings. Although some complain they're "not the same," that's not really what matters. What matters is that you're giving up something because of how bad it is for you, the animals, and the earth. The taste hardly matters. Although having accidentally eaten chicken last year, I definitely think that alternatives are much tastier. Remind yourself that what you're doing is good. Great, even. As for "nutrients" and such, you can get everything you need from a plant based diet. However, if you feel unsure about it, go ahead and get some vitamins or supplements. As for recipes, simple, extravagant, creative, comfort food, etc., go through the vegan food tag. I go through it all the time. If there's anything else my ask is open!
If we made a petition for Jo to write a bunch of Marauders prequels do you think she would do it?
