Check Your Car's Lights
Your car's lights need to be functional whenever you take your car out on a ride. Riding with lights that are non-functional could cause serious accidents (whether rear or front).
And therefore, checking the car's lights is a preventative maintenance task that every single car owner must do often.
But the problem is... you can't easily tell if your car's lights are functional on your own. With a motorbike, it's possible. With a car on the other hand, you may need the help of another individual or do it on your own the "right way".
With that said, here's how to check your car's lights...
Part 1 - Indicator Lights
Turn on your car's ignition key to 'ancillaries' or 'on' mode (and not 'start mode')
Check your indicator's first by switching both sides on. Take a walk and look at the indicator from both ends (front and rear).
If it seems like the flasher on your car's panel is working but the indicators are not working, it's probably because the globe's blown.
Remove the indicator and take it to your local service center and have it replaced at the earliest. Avoid riding when the indicators aren't working (Regardless of whether it's day or night).
Part 2 - Headlights
Switch on your headlights (after putting your car on 'ancillaries' mode)
Check the front of your vehicle for the headlights
See if one or both your headlights are out. If both your headlights aren't functional, the cause is an electrical fault. If only one of the lights is out, it's mostly because the globe is blown.
Replace the globe at the earliest (for blown globe) or take your car to the service center (in case it's an electrical fault).
Do the same for your high beam and fog lights
Use the same process for your tail-lights but with the help of someone or by studying the reflection.

Pre Purchase Inspection Is a Necessity When Buying a Used Car
When excited buyers set their sights on a great looking car, they may often make a quick buying decision and may miss doing all the necessary needed checks that need to be done, like mechanical, cosmetic as well as safety issues during visual inspection and test drives.
This can often occur when the vehicle being purchased belongs to another place and the buyer has seen the vehicle and was impressed at the sight of it. Hence he or she is physically and mentally prepared to go through with purchasing the vehicle. When pre vehicle inspection takes place before the sales are final, it will probably be a good idea to have some sort of HPI check. They are many professionals who make it their business and profession to check cars for a living they have an in depth knowledge when it comes to matters of used cars, and will be sure to thoroughly check the car that is going to be purchased. You may feel anxious about the security of the vehicle, so they try to figure out the model of the car you are planning to buy and will give you detailed information about the car.
It can be very risky buying a car without a warranty or to get the vehicle from such a place where there is no system of a warranty or return. With a pre purchase inspection you could get someone to visit the car place and check through the car with you to help spot any mechanical problems. The proper checks will also take care of the legal side of things and will look for things like if the car is stolen or not. If it happens to be, then your investment could go to waste as you would not legally own the car. A pre purchase inspection is one of the best paths to take as they will often spot any mechanical or legal problems if any, and then you can consult with the owners for a discount or can ask the owner to repair it at their own cost.
So do not get sucked in and take the help of the professionals.
