What are your favourite things about Kiss?

Helloo!! There are so many things about kiss that I love that this would be a 4 page essay the time I would be done! My top favorite things would be the music (obviously), the community mainly on here cause anywhere else is a hellhole, and definitely the Kiss members!

Hi! I’m back with another Kiss related essay. So I’ve been wondering while watching some Marvel and Dc related content, what if Kiss had an animated series with all of the band members? Or maybe the band members with makeup, but still It would’ve been so cool.

I’ve heard from a certain Kiss YouTuber that said Kiss was initially going to have a animated series made by Hanna Barbara, and there’s concept art somewhere (I guess that’s lost media for now) But that ended up not working out for some odd reason. That could be the audience for Hanna Barbara’s shows at the time, were for little children. Still I wished it would’ve happened.

It would be really cool to see Kiss solving earth and space crime, exploring “Kissteria” like in the Scooby-do movie, and just some in depth explanation of the lore of the talisman. I just really like lore, and it would be a great business venture for Gene. Given that he likes comics and their personas were based on superheroes from Marvel comics.

One other thing I would like to see someday, other than a new album is a comic series or a short film about the new Kiss avatars because the designs look so good!! It probably introduce newcomers into Kiss, like how I was introduced with that scooby-doo movie. Nowadays, we’re lacking animated stuff for bands other than the Gorrillaz and that would be so cool.

I just to see my sons back in action. But I’m hoping one day we’re going to get some new content from the new era. Maybe a Fortnite collab (*wink , wink*). I would love to see Eric’s and Vinnie’s personas soon.

Uhh I don’t know how to start this but, I’m so done with the older part of the kiss army. I’m talking about Facebook, Kiss YouTube, and yes Reddit. I’m done with the endless comparing, antisemitism, and the utter refusal to change in any certain way.

I know that many of the members aren’t the best people in the world, but oh my days give them break! YouTubers like almost human are always (sorry for my French) up Paul’s, Genes, Eric’s, and especially Tommy’s ass. It’s so ridiculous! Getting mad at a person for doing their job and especially when they literally don’t have a choice in the matter. It’s their fault that they were put in that situation.

It’s been almost 4 years of me being in the Kiss army, and it’s just so exhausting to see grown men with families and rent to pay literally man-handling the current lineup to dirt. Sometimes I wish the original lineup would just kiss and makeup (see what I did there) so the other members shouldn’t get blunt end of the knife for their actions.

Sometimes I don’t even know if I can talk about any of this because I’m afraid of someone screaming at me for being wrong or having the “incorrect” opinion, for not glazing everything Ace and Peter does. It just sucks, I want to talk about music, kisstory, and just niche stuff about the band. Not playing compare and contrast of who’s better.

I’m just glad I’m mainly on here!

P.s: Anyone want to be friends, I kinda feel left out :(

I totally understand

I’ve been there, so many terrible fans. I was called the r-slur all because I mentioned Paul was my favourite member. The endless hatred and toxicity made me worried about attending my first kiss concert. I used to follow Almost Human but unfollowed him because of his endless hatred. Recently I’ve lost all my respect for him when he and his followers said that Paul will never get the same amount of love and respect when he passes as Ace has. The fandom has been so nasty and hypocritical I’ve been calling it out lately

But thankfully Kissblr is so much better than most kiss communities. At least you won’t get hated on for liking the current lineup more than the original. At least you can criticize the members without fans kicking your ass. It is so refreshing to be here on Tumblr as a kiss fan and I’m glad you made it here too

You friend, are absolutely 1000% correct! The older 'fans' just need to sit in their wheelchairs and reminisce on their porches. I'm so tired of the pointless, needless hate and the stupid comparisons. I refuse to play favorites. (I AM a Paul bias but that's neither here nor there. XD) I just want the music dammit. I just wanna discuss my love of the band in general, what its meant to me and how it's changed my life for the better. All while sharing pictures and stupid jokes! I'll add to the sentiment by saying you're more than welcome here on KISSblr! This is a safe space!!

(Please read because im devastated for multiple reasons)

Today I got my heart broken💔, I was dating this person for almost two months but I was so infatuated not by looks (oh no) by his personality and basic kindness which most guys from my past couldn't even provide (i often got ghosted by guys AND girls so it didn't make a DIFFERENCE) Either way... I have horrible trust issues.... it's very hard to earn my trust because I've been hurt countless times and abandoned many times, often no real goodbye just...disappear the BEST people in my life often just...disappear one day.... that's NOT a good feeling😔 and people wonder why im closed off....there's many reasons....some people assume my life is perfect because i often dress well and put together...that's not a choice my family will judge me if I walk out the house looking anything BUT presentable... I wish I could be carefree and free spirited.... too bad I don't have the choice apparently.... I guess at this point I might as well let my elder auntie PICK a suitable man FOR ME since the rest are no good OR "Taken" anyways..... Im not saying ALL men are "No good" I guess the ones in my particular area are?
