#1632 was born in the remote settlement of Foire, Northern Coerthas on 01/13, 1548. she was conceived immediately following a vivid dream her mother experienced regarding "a golden lake," and she was delivered 58 days later.
At the age of 12, the incident known as "First Act" (#1632-A) resulted in 84 civilian casualties (100% mortality rate) and the total destruction of the settlement. B.A.N.E. Unit 02 was dispatched to handle the investigation, ultimately extracting #1632 from the ruins along with a mysterious feline shapeshifting entity she refers to as "Nyx" (#1633). Our spin control team covered up the incident and systematically erased Foire from all Eorzean cartography and public archives.
#1632 was evaluated and, under Director Victoria's authorization, enlisted as B.A.N.E operative under unit 07 at the age of 14.
During operation “Pharaoh”, the event known as "Second Act" (#1632-B) resulted in the destruction of alien colony N75 (verified by monitoring station in the region) and the possible recovery or revival of #1632, after all operatives were confirmed deceased during initial encounter.
#1632 now serves as the director of D.O.S.R.
Investigation into her recovery parameters remains classified. Contingency plans for theorized event "Third Act" (#1632-C) mandates the permanent installation of cranial explosive implants to ensure immediate termination if triggered.

<07/28/1565> Operative Kalos H, age 17. I don't know how she managed to find her way back, or how she is even alive. The cat appears to be helping her heal. She seems traumatized by the mission, but refuses to provide details on how she completed the mission by herself. Monitoring station P43 confirms colony elimination. Inform Director V.K. asap.
"That cat with eyes like molten gold? Yeah it's just as weird as the director. I've heard tales that it's a bio weapon, others say it's a curse. We don't know what it is, only that the skin it’s wearing doesn't quite fit.
The EF-GEN 2 remains the pinnacle of our engineering from the B.A.N.E. era.
Unlike standard D.F.O. equipments, the BODYBAG was built knowing that the operatives may never return. Due to technical limitations of the period, only six units were ever deployed.
The final restored EF-GEN 2 is now available for viewing at the exhibition wing.
Gen-9 standard combat kits are cleared for deployment. Training modules EPC95 and EPC97 are mandatory requirements before equipment retrieval.
Operatives must refer to OP-1152 and OP-74 for standardized equipment protocols and visual mechanical identification. Strictly adhere to all Magitek safety regulations.
"B.A.N.E. was a project born of desperation. It was a gamble where we essentially sent out best soldiers to die. The after-action reports from the final mission 15 years ago confirmed the total loss of four prime units. V9 voted 7:2 to terminate the project the same day the final casualty list was signed.
However, the project was not an utter failure. It provided the technical and tactical foundation for what we now know as the Department of Special Response.
Director Kalos was the sole survivor of that slaughter. After being declared MIA for a full calendar year, she miraculously breached the perimeter at Veilcore and founded the Bureau of Occult Studies, the precursor to today's D.O.S.R."
Founded by Ser Leon Veilwalker in year 672 of the Sixth Astral Era, we are a global organization focused on arming humanity against anomalous and otherworldly threats. Until Event 94B, we have been operating with strict secrecy to prevent public awareness and maintain societal stability.
The V-9 Command directly oversees the following departments of operation:
Department of Field Operations
Anomalous Containment Division
Applied Research Bureau
Clinical and Recovery Division
Department of Special Response
Department of Field Operations (D.F.O)
Led by Director Wilson Kalibur and Assistant Director Elizabeth Vashtari. the Department of Field Operations manages approximately 73% of Veilcore's total operations and commands a total of 104 special units:
Units 1 to 6: Contingency units specializing in monitoring critical individuals such as the Warrior of Light and executing contingency plans should these individuals pose a threat to humanity.
Units 7 to 20: Engineering units responsible for deploying monitoring devices, bunkers, and other stationary combat forces.
Units 21 to 80: General duty units, flexible and capable of performing all forms of operations.
Units 81 to 100: Veilcore's air force, tasked with aerial and orbital combat as well as operating transport aircraft.
Units 101 to 104: redacted
Anomalous Containment Division (A.C.D)
The Anomalous Containment Division operates under the command of "Keeper," whose true identity is concealed as part of containment procedure OP-7. A.C.D is responsible for designing containment procedures and maintaining containment facilities.
Applied Research Bureau (A.R.B)
The Applied Research Bureau (A.R.B) operates under the leadership of "Oracle," whose true identity remains classified among Veilcore’s highest confidentials. The bureau is responsible for the research and development of advanced equipment, comprehensive study of anomalies, and the design of contingency plans. A.R.B’s work supports all departments by providing technological innovation and strategic foresight essential to Veilcore’s mission.
Clinical and Recovery Division (C.R.D)
Led by Director Victoria Killian, the Clinical and Recovery Division (C.R.D) manages all medical and recovery operations for Veilcore personnel. The division operates secure medical facilities equipped to treat both conventional and anomalous injuries. It provides emergency care, long-term rehabilitation, and psychological support to maintain personnel readiness. C.R.D coordinates closely with field units to ensure rapid evacuation and treatment while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive medical information.
Department of Special Response (D.O.S.R)
Led by Director Kalos Hastiel, the Department of Special Response (DOSR) is deployed when missions escalate beyond the scope of the DFO. It is allocated 38% of Veilcore’s annual budget while managing 12.74% of total operations, making it the most resource-intensive department per unit.
Three years ago, the event now codenamed 94B tore open the sky.
What began as a series of localized distortions became an extinction-class invasion - an overflow of entities not meant for this plane, pouring into the world until the continents themselves buckled. Cities vanished in hours. Nations fell in days. And by the third year, 96% of the surface world was gone, along with its population.
The Ark is our orbital fortress - an immense, ringed station housing command operations, medical systems, research vaults, habitat decks, and the docking hub linking it to Neo-Ishgard below. It serves as both the final headquarters of Veilcore and the refuge for what remains of humanity’s mobile forces, a self-sustaining bastion built to endure long after the surface has fallen.
After drifting dormant for more than 80 years, the Ark has now been fully reactivated - Veilcore’s long sleeping contingency rising at last, exactly as designed, for when the world finally went dark.
"I know what you're thinking, that the warrior of light died a heroic death over a decade ago.
The truth is ... it was us.
Kris, I want you to know, that the warrior of light was beyond saving. We had been detecting unnaturally high readings of compound N5 in his aether ever since the first contact.
V-9 activated DFO's contingency unit and ended him quietly. "
