I need help finding a post
I saw a post some time ago discussing the gothic themes of vampirism and moral corruption in NBC's Hannibal. Honestly, I can't even remember if I saw it here on Tumblr or somewhere else.
It introduced the idea of Hannibal as the archetypical vampire, with his relationships with Alana and Will as transformative. Alana was then compared with the character of Carmilla, making further comparisons with her relationship with Margot as another instance of vampirism via moral corruption, e.g., the assisted murder of Mason.
Anyway, I just remembered it was a really interesting view of the show.
