I am so very serious when I say that minors should have a legal and easily reinforceable right to say "I don't want to live with my parents (or other adult caretakers)/I don't want to be around that person/I don't want to go to that place" and actually get their wish accommodated. People need to understand that everyone who's happy with BJP's aren't right wing supporters. I'm not a right wing supporter. But we NEEDED this change. 15 years ago, a 34 years of rule of CPIM was abolished by the citizens of Bengal. Why? To see a change, because we were so fed up with the atrocities done to us that we thought that TMC will bring a change for the better. And then today, we needed a change again because TMC couldn't do what we thought they would. We are already down in the grass root level right now. Women aren't safe, employment is equal to zero, social development NIL, so people fearing that BJP will do worse ? No they won't because we already are at worse. It is now to see whether they can uplift the current scenario or keep us here.
