It’s ya boi Rowan @emo-leonn back at it again with another blog.
Made this one cause I love Vendetta and I love Leon in the movie — he’s pretty relatable to me.
Once again, for rules check my main blog (that I tagged) and uhh yeah feel free to send asks anytime!
“Hey Chris. How you holding up?” Leon asks as he crosses his arms over his chest, leaning back against a wall.

Chris doesn't even notice him at first. At the sound of a voice, he instantly reaches for his side arm, whirling around, looking for danger... "You ought to be careful sneaking up on people, Leon."
A tense sigh leaves his lips as he pries his grip away from the pistol on his hip. "I'm managing... What about you?"
Leon steps away from the wall, holding up his hands in a placating gesture. “Easy there. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sneak up on you.”
He shrugs. “Same here. I’m managing. So what have you been up to since our mission in New York?” He steps a bit closer to Chris. “Just thought it’d be nice to… catch up, ya know?”
"Paperwork. Tons of it." He runs a hand through his hair, looking tired. The BSAA never had time to rest this day and age. Whether it's some freelance arms dealer or a remnant of Umbrella, they are always investigating signs of BOWs.
"I haven't had much personal time lately..." A pang of guilt makes his chest clench. He knows he should make time for his allies. "Do you wanna grab a drink?"
“Sorry to hear that.” He knows how tedious paperwork can be — he’s always hated having to do it. And he knows all about having little to no personal time. It seems like hardly and days go by before he’s being called away on some sort of mission.
His eyes widen a bit in surprise when Chris asks him if he wants to grab a drink, considering how he reacted to his drinking in Colorado. “Uh, yeah sure. I’m game.”
"Let's not do whole bottles this time, yeah?" He hasn't forgotten. "I don't want to have to be your designated driver."
Yet, he heads to his civilian car, unlocking it with the key fob. It seems he plans on driving anyway, regardless of what he said. It is almost weird to be traveling anywhere without it being in an armored car or chopper.
Leon rolls his eyes as he sighs. “Fine. No whole bottles.” He follows Chris to his car and gets into the passenger side. “So where we headed?”
Chris takes a moment to light up a cigarette. Remembering he has a passenger, he rolls down the windows, unsure if the smoke would bother Leon. "I know a place not far from here," he says, cigarette perched between his chapped lips. The car pulls smoothly away from the curb, merging into traffic.
"Smoke?" He offers the half full box of cigarettes to Leon.
“Alright,” Leon says before resting his arm out the window, looking out at the street. He turns his head when Chris offers him a cigarette and he waves the box away.
“No thanks. You know those things will kill you?” He says teasingly, a slight smirk on his face.
"Yeah... well, I'll take my chances," he replies amiably. He isn't a chain smoker by any means, but it helped take the edge off when he got too stressed. Besides, if a BOW doesn't kill him first, he doubts a cigarette now and then will.
It isn't long before they pull off into a mostly empty lot. This bar is a quiet place, no loud music, no teens with fake IDs. It is the type of bar where you can sit and think without too many distractions.
Leading the way in, they are greeted by soft piano music.
Leon shrugs and returns his attention to the outside, smiling softly. “Whatever you say.”
He looks around the bar after they arrive and walk in, nodding to himself. “Nice place. Quiet,” he observes as he follows Chris. He’s glad to be in a calm environment like this, as he’s never been one for clubs. He does want to catch up with Chris, after all.
"That's the best thing about it," he says, stopping at the bar. The bartender, a well-dressed man, finishes polishing a glass and hurries over to him.
"What will it be, gentlemen?"
"Rum and coke." Chris slides his card across the counter to him. "Put his order on it, too." He jerks a thumb in Leon's direction.
"Right. What will it be, handsome?" The man turns a flirtatious look on Leon. Chris can't help but stifle a snort of laughter; Leon really is a pretty guy.
Leon sits down at the bar with Chris, still looking around and taking the place in.
He’s about to object to Chris and say he can pay for his own drink, until the bartender speaks to him. He looks at the man, eyes wide and a slight blush on his cheeks. He coughs into his fist, trying to compose himself.
“Uh, whiskey, neat,” he mutters, still blushing. He’s never gotten used to being flirted with.
"Looks like you have a fan, Leon," Chis grins, resting his cheek in a hand. He can't deny the bartender's good taste. And Leon's blush begs for teasing.
The drinks are made promptly and slid to them. Leon's comes with a wink and a phone number scrawled on a napkin. Chris stifles another laugh. "Come on, Vinnie. Give the guy a break."
Leon rolls his eyes and looks down at the bar. “Yeah yeah,” he says dismissively. He’s never found himself terribly attractive, couldn’t tell why anyone would be into him.
Leon picks up his drink once it’s brought to him, his blush deepening when he gets winked at. He nods his thanks, eyes widening slightly when he sees the number scrawled on the napkin.
He throws his whole drink back, not caring if Chris comments on the action.
Another is slid to Leon when he finishes his first. Vinnie gives him a break from his flirting to go back to polishing glasses.
"Take it easy on this one," Chris warns, realizing he will be the designated driver whether he wants to be or not. He elbows him lightly before sipping his own drink. The lime slices decorating the rim of his glass make Chris, such an imposing man, look a little more approachable... and fruity, but Chris doesn't seem to care.
"So... uh..." The pair never hung out much outside of work, so he isn't sure where to take their conversation.
Leon chuckles, gently elbowing Chris back. “Alright, fine.” He picks up his glass and sips his drink, glancing at Chris to make sure the man sees that he’s behaving.
He takes a look at Chris’s drink — he’s a little tempted to comment on it, but he decides against it. He looks away once the man speaks.
“Yeah, um..,” he trails off, not sure what to talk about. He’s not sure why, but the first thing that pops into his head is to ask about Chris’s love life. He’s only had one glass of whiskey, but maybe he can use it as an excuse for bringing up the subject.
“So how’s your love life? Got anyone, or interested in anybody?” Leon asks, a bit fast before he can change his mind. He ignores the temptation to chug the rest of his drink, settling for sipping some more of it.
Chris is glad when Leon grabs a topic for them. However, he hadn't expected his love life to come up. He chokes on his drink, sputtering for a moment. Clearing his throat, he stares into his glass for a long moment.
"I don't really have the time for a love life..." Still, his heart is hammering in his chest. Is he really telling Leon the truth? Other members of the BSAA have families, so why can't Chris? "I feel like taking on a lover would be irresponsible of me. My line of work is dangerous and takes me all over."
He's quiet again, eyes locked onto his drink, a light blush coloring his cheeks. Eventually, though, he returns the question. "How about you? You have someone?"
Leon pats Chris on the back when he chokes, muttering a quick “sorry”. He nods as he looks down at his own drink.
Why is it that he feels… hope, hearing that Chris is single?
He clears his throat before speaking again. “I understand. Uh, no, I don’t have anyone. Same problems — not enough time and a dangerous job.” He blushes, glancing at Chris before looking back down at his drink. “Take it that means you’re not interested in anyone then?”
Chris's ears are burning red at the questions. Why does this feel like an interrogation? He might actually rather face torture than answer. He swallows, his Adam's apple bobbing. "Well... I'm only a man. Of course, there's, uh, interest."
He downs the rest of his drink, not caring that it's a bit hypocritical. If he were drunk, this would be a much easier conversation; he'd come out of the closet without a single care. "You?"
Leon looks over at Chris, unable to help the slight smirk that appears on his face when he sees the man’s blush. He’d tease him about it if he weren’t also blushing.
He scowls when he sees Chris throw back his drink, and he finishes his own. He didn’t have much let in the glass anyway. “Do you uh… mind if I ask who? Anyone I know?” His blush deepens and he nods before responding.
“Yeah, um, there’s someone I’m interested in…”
The bartender comes over to deliver fresh drinks, but Chris waves dismissively for himself. A fresh whiskey is placed before Leon. Neat, just how he likes it.
"I'm not nearly drunk enough to go into that," Chris smiles gently, ears still deep red. "It's complicated, I guess..." Without a drink to distract him, he fidgets with his lighter. Man, he wishes he could smoke...
"You know I'm gay, right?"
Leon thanks Vinnie for the drink and picks it up, sipping at it.
He smiles and throws an arm around Chris’s shoulders, shaking him gently. “Come on man, you can trust me. I won’t go belting it around town,” he says with a chuckle. He doesn’t know what’s gotten into him, why he so desperately wants to know the answer to this question.. he just needs to know if he has a chance.
At Chris’s confession his eyes go a little wide. “Oh, really?” He bites his lip and looks down at his drink, arm still around Chris’s shoulders. He might as well confess too…
“So.. so am I,” he mutters before sipping more whiskey.
Leon's weight against his side feels nice. Maybe he's a bit touch starved because he leans into him, enjoying the masculine scent coming off his clothes.
Chris's eyes widen, brows arching in surprise. Leon S. Kennedy is gay?! He always thought he was a ladies' man. Man, his gaydar is way off. "You're not pulling my leg, are you?"
Leon can’t help the blush that appears on his cheeks when Chris leans into him, and he unconsciously tightens his grip slightly, pulling him in closer.
He chuckles, sipping some more of his drink before he looks over at Chris. “No, I’m not. That’d be a pretty shitty joke don’t you think?”
"Yeah, it would be," he nods, feeling at a loss for words with Leon holding him like this. It has been so long since he felt another man's body against him...
Then, he notices Vinnie, watching them curiously from behind the bar. They must look like a couple right now...
Leon chuckles softly as he looks at Chris. The longer he looks at him the more tempted he is to tilt the man’s chin up, look into his eyes and…
His thoughts trail off when he looks over and sees Vinnie watching them. His face flushes and he glances away. He still keeps his arm around Chris however, loathe to let the man go right now.
He finishes off his drink and looks down at his empty glass. “Want me to tell you who I’m interested in?” He doesn’t know where this confidence is coming from — maybe it’s the whiskey. But he feels like he needs to get this off his chest.
The rumble of Leon's laugh travels through him like a chill down his spine. He likes it and wishes he could hear it more often. The man deserves to laugh more often.
Vinnie pulls out the whiskey bottle when he sees Leon drain his glass, but Chris gives him a wave. Leon's obviously had enough.
"Gotta say I am a little curious."
Leon sighs when Chris waves the bottle away. He feels like he could use some more liquid courage — but he doesn’t want to start a fight with Chris by asking for more.
He takes in a deep, shaky breath, and closes his eyes. He’s silent for a few moments before he finally speaks. “I’m… I’m sitting with him right now,” Leon mutters, eyes still closed. He loosens his grip on Chris just in case the man wants to pull away.
Chris actually looks around, wondering who Leon could be talking about. It has to be Vinnie, right? Why would someone like Leon Kennedy be interested in him? He has his pick of so many people...
"That alcohol must really be working on you if you like my funny looking mug." He chuckles awkwardly.
Leon bites his lip, finally opening his eyes. He still doesn’t look at Chris however. “You’re not funny looking, Chris,” he says before finally looking at the man.
“You’re… you’re very handsome..,” he says softly as he looks into Chris’s eyes. He sighs and looks away. “If you don’t feel the same way I understand..”
The way Leon dodges eye contact concerns Chris. His feelings must be more than just physical attraction if he can't even look at him.
His gaze softens, and a muscular arm slips around Leon's waist. "You're the real catch here, Leon. Of course I think you're handsome." He jostles him in his chair, trying to keep him from moping.
Leon bites his lip once again when he feels Chris’s arm around his waist. God he’s so muscular..
He chuckles softly as his cheeks flush. “Thank you, but that’s not what I meant.” He sighs and returns his gaze to Chris. “I meant.. I meant if you don’t feel.. romantically attracted to me, like you don’t want to be in a…,” he trails off and sighs, looking away again. “If you don’t want to be in a relationship with me I, I understand,” he speaks in a rush, his blush deepening.
Chris scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. When things are too good to be true, that's because they usually aren't, right? Leon is probably tipsy from the alcohol. Yeah, that made sense. He's just drunk and wanting intimacy.
"I've never really thought about being in a relationship... I guess you could handle any danger that might come your way because of me... but it still feels wrong to put you in danger like that..." He drums his fingers on the countertop as a long pause stretches between them. "Let's get out of here, yeah?"
Leon chuckles. “Chris, you don’t need to worry about that. We’re in the same line of work remember? I get into plenty of danger on my own. You certainly wouldn’t add to that.”
He sighs, reluctantly removing his arm from around Chris’s shoulders as he stands. “Yeah, let’s.”
Chris pulls a wrinkled bill from a pocket and stuffs it into Vinnie's tip jar on the way out. Outside, it's starting to rain, droplets darkening the pavement in random spatters.
With a click of the key fob, he unlocks the car for Leon before hurrying to get in out of the rain.
Leon hurries into the passenger side of the car, smiling softly at Chris when the man gets into the car. “We going back to your place?” He asks hopefully. He doesn’t want to be away from Chris. Not right now.

The way Leon dodges eye contact concerns Chris. His feelings must be more than just physical attraction if he can't even look at him.
His gaze softens, and a muscular arm slips around Leon's waist. "You're the real catch here, Leon. Of course I think you're handsome." He jostles him in his chair, trying to keep him from moping.
Leon bites his lip once again when he feels Chris’s arm around his waist. God he’s so muscular..
He chuckles softly as his cheeks flush. “Thank you, but that’s not what I meant.” He sighs and returns his gaze to Chris. “I meant.. I meant if you don’t feel.. romantically attracted to me, like you don’t want to be in a…,” he trails off and sighs, looking away again. “If you don’t want to be in a relationship with me I, I understand,” he speaks in a rush, his blush deepening.
Chris scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. When things are too good to be true, that's because they usually aren't, right? Leon is probably tipsy from the alcohol. Yeah, that made sense. He's just drunk and wanting intimacy.
"I've never really thought about being in a relationship... I guess you could handle any danger that might come your way because of me... but it still feels wrong to put you in danger like that..." He drums his fingers on the countertop as a long pause stretches between them. "Let's get out of here, yeah?"

Chris doesn't even notice him at first. At the sound of a voice, he instantly reaches for his side arm, whirling around, looking for danger... "You ought to be careful sneaking up on people, Leon."
A tense sigh leaves his lips as he pries his grip away from the pistol on his hip. "I'm managing... What about you?"
Leon steps away from the wall, holding up his hands in a placating gesture. “Easy there. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sneak up on you.”
He shrugs. “Same here. I’m managing. So what have you been up to since our mission in New York?” He steps a bit closer to Chris. “Just thought it’d be nice to… catch up, ya know?”
"Paperwork. Tons of it." He runs a hand through his hair, looking tired. The BSAA never had time to rest this day and age. Whether it's some freelance arms dealer or a remnant of Umbrella, they are always investigating signs of BOWs.
"I haven't had much personal time lately..." A pang of guilt makes his chest clench. He knows he should make time for his allies. "Do you wanna grab a drink?"
“Sorry to hear that.” He knows how tedious paperwork can be — he’s always hated having to do it. And he knows all about having little to no personal time. It seems like hardly and days go by before he’s being called away on some sort of mission.
His eyes widen a bit in surprise when Chris asks him if he wants to grab a drink, considering how he reacted to his drinking in Colorado. “Uh, yeah sure. I’m game.”
"Let's not do whole bottles this time, yeah?" He hasn't forgotten. "I don't want to have to be your designated driver."
Yet, he heads to his civilian car, unlocking it with the key fob. It seems he plans on driving anyway, regardless of what he said. It is almost weird to be traveling anywhere without it being in an armored car or chopper.
Leon rolls his eyes as he sighs. “Fine. No whole bottles.” He follows Chris to his car and gets into the passenger side. “So where we headed?”
Chris takes a moment to light up a cigarette. Remembering he has a passenger, he rolls down the windows, unsure if the smoke would bother Leon. "I know a place not far from here," he says, cigarette perched between his chapped lips. The car pulls smoothly away from the curb, merging into traffic.
"Smoke?" He offers the half full box of cigarettes to Leon.
“Alright,” Leon says before resting his arm out the window, looking out at the street. He turns his head when Chris offers him a cigarette and he waves the box away.
“No thanks. You know those things will kill you?” He says teasingly, a slight smirk on his face.
"Yeah... well, I'll take my chances," he replies amiably. He isn't a chain smoker by any means, but it helped take the edge off when he got too stressed. Besides, if a BOW doesn't kill him first, he doubts a cigarette now and then will.
It isn't long before they pull off into a mostly empty lot. This bar is a quiet place, no loud music, no teens with fake IDs. It is the type of bar where you can sit and think without too many distractions.
Leading the way in, they are greeted by soft piano music.
Leon shrugs and returns his attention to the outside, smiling softly. “Whatever you say.”
He looks around the bar after they arrive and walk in, nodding to himself. “Nice place. Quiet,” he observes as he follows Chris. He’s glad to be in a calm environment like this, as he’s never been one for clubs. He does want to catch up with Chris, after all.
"That's the best thing about it," he says, stopping at the bar. The bartender, a well-dressed man, finishes polishing a glass and hurries over to him.
"What will it be, gentlemen?"
"Rum and coke." Chris slides his card across the counter to him. "Put his order on it, too." He jerks a thumb in Leon's direction.
"Right. What will it be, handsome?" The man turns a flirtatious look on Leon. Chris can't help but stifle a snort of laughter; Leon really is a pretty guy.

The drinks are made promptly and slid to them. Leon's comes with a wink and a phone number scrawled on a napkin. Chris stifles another laugh. "Come on, Vinnie. Give the guy a break."

"Take it easy on this one," Chris warns, realizing he will be the designated driver whether he wants to be or not. He elbows him lightly before sipping his own drink. The lime slices decorating the rim of his glass make Chris, such an imposing man, look a little more approachable... and fruity, but Chris doesn't seem to care.
"So... uh..." The pair never hung out much outside of work, so he isn't sure where to take their conversation.
Leon chuckles, gently elbowing Chris back. “Alright, fine.” He picks up his glass and sips his drink, glancing at Chris to make sure the man sees that he’s behaving.

“Yeah, um..,” he trails off, not sure what to talk about. He’s not sure why, but the first thing that pops into his head is to ask about Chris’s love life. He’s only had one glass of whiskey, but maybe he can use it as an excuse for bringing up the subject.
“So how’s your love life? Got anyone, or interested in anybody?” Leon asks, a bit fast before he can change his mind. He ignores the temptation to chug the rest of his drink, settling for sipping some more of it.

"I feel like taking on a lover would be irresponsible of me. My line of work is dangerous and takes me all over."

He downs the rest of his drink, not caring that it's a bit hypocritical. If he were drunk, this would be a much easier conversation; he'd come out of the closet without a single care. "You?"

Yet, he heads to his civilian car, unlocking it with the key fob. It seems he plans on driving anyway, regardless of what he said. It is almost weird to be traveling anywhere without it being in an armored car or chopper.

Chris takes a moment to light up a cigarette. Remembering he has a passenger, he rolls down the windows, unsure if the smoke would bother Leon. "I know a place not far from here," he says, cigarette perched between his chapped lips. The car pulls smoothly away from the curb, merging into traffic.
"Smoke?" He offers the half full box of cigarettes to Leon.
“Alright,” Leon says before resting his arm out the window, looking out at the street. He turns his head when Chris offers him a cigarette and he waves the box away.
“No thanks. You know those things will kill you?” He says teasingly, a slight smirk on his face.
"Yeah... well, I'll take my chances," he replies amiably. He isn't a chain smoker by any means, but it helped take the edge off when he got too stressed. Besides, if a BOW doesn't kill him first, he doubts a cigarette now and then will.
It isn't long before they pull off into a mostly empty lot. This bar is a quiet place, no loud music, no teens with fake IDs. It is the type of bar where you can sit and think without too many distractions.

A tense sigh leaves his lips as he pries his grip away from the pistol on his hip. "I'm managing... What about you?"
Leon steps away from the wall, holding up his hands in a placating gesture. “Easy there. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sneak up on you.”
He shrugs. “Same here. I’m managing. So what have you been up to since our mission in New York?” He steps a bit closer to Chris. “Just thought it’d be nice to… catch up, ya know?”
"Paperwork. Tons of it." He runs a hand through his hair, looking tired. The BSAA never had time to rest this day and age. Whether it's some freelance arms dealer or a remnant of Umbrella, they are always investigating signs of BOWs.
"I haven't had much personal time lately..." A pang of guilt makes his chest clench. He knows he should make time for his allies. "Do you wanna grab a drink?"
“Sorry to hear that.” He knows how tedious paperwork can be — he’s always hated having to do it. And he knows all about having little to no personal time. It seems like hardly and days go by before he’s being called away on some sort of mission.
His eyes widen a bit in surprise when Chris asks him if he wants to grab a drink, considering how he reacted to his drinking in Colorado. “Uh, yeah sure. I’m game.”
"Let's not do whole bottles this time, yeah?" He hasn't forgotten. "I don't want to have to be your designated driver."
Yet, he heads to his civilian car, unlocking it with the key fob. It seems he plans on driving anyway, regardless of what he said. It is almost weird to be traveling anywhere without it being in an armored car or chopper.

Chris takes a moment to light up a cigarette. Remembering he has a passenger, he rolls down the windows, unsure if the smoke would bother Leon. "I know a place not far from here," he says, cigarette perched between his chapped lips. The car pulls smoothly away from the curb, merging into traffic.
"Smoke?" He offers the half full box of cigarettes to Leon.
“Alright,” Leon says before resting his arm out the window, looking out at the street. He turns his head when Chris offers him a cigarette and he waves the box away.
“No thanks. You know those things will kill you?” He says teasingly, a slight smirk on his face.
"Yeah... well, I'll take my chances," he replies amiably. He isn't a chain smoker by any means, but it helped take the edge off when he got too stressed. Besides, if a BOW doesn't kill him first, he doubts a cigarette now and then will.
It isn't long before they pull off into a mostly empty lot. This bar is a quiet place, no loud music, no teens with fake IDs. It is the type of bar where you can sit and think without too many distractions.

“Hey Chris. How you holding up?” Leon asks as he crosses his arms over his chest, leaning back against a wall.

Chris doesn't even notice him at first. At the sound of a voice, he instantly reaches for his side arm, whirling around, looking for danger... "You ought to be careful sneaking up on people, Leon."
A tense sigh leaves his lips as he pries his grip away from the pistol on his hip. "I'm managing... What about you?"
Leon steps away from the wall, holding up his hands in a placating gesture. “Easy there. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sneak up on you.”
He shrugs. “Same here. I’m managing. So what have you been up to since our mission in New York?” He steps a bit closer to Chris. “Just thought it’d be nice to… catch up, ya know?”
"Paperwork. Tons of it." He runs a hand through his hair, looking tired. The BSAA never had time to rest this day and age. Whether it's some freelance arms dealer or a remnant of Umbrella, they are always investigating signs of BOWs.
"I haven't had much personal time lately..." A pang of guilt makes his chest clench. He knows he should make time for his allies. "Do you wanna grab a drink?"
“Sorry to hear that.” He knows how tedious paperwork can be — he’s always hated having to do it. And he knows all about having little to no personal time. It seems like hardly and days go by before he’s being called away on some sort of mission.
His eyes widen a bit in surprise when Chris asks him if he wants to grab a drink, considering how he reacted to his drinking in Colorado. “Uh, yeah sure. I’m game.”
"Let's not do whole bottles this time, yeah?" He hasn't forgotten. "I don't want to have to be your designated driver."
Yet, he heads to his civilian car, unlocking it with the key fob. It seems he plans on driving anyway, regardless of what he said. It is almost weird to be traveling anywhere without it being in an armored car or chopper.
Leon rolls his eyes as he sighs. “Fine. No whole bottles.” He follows Chris to his car and gets into the passenger side. “So where we headed?”
Chris takes a moment to light up a cigarette. Remembering he has a passenger, he rolls down the windows, unsure if the smoke would bother Leon. "I know a place not far from here," he says, cigarette perched between his chapped lips. The car pulls smoothly away from the curb, merging into traffic.
"Smoke?" He offers the half full box of cigarettes to Leon.
“Alright,” Leon says before resting his arm out the window, looking out at the street. He turns his head when Chris offers him a cigarette and he waves the box away.
“No thanks. You know those things will kill you?” He says teasingly, a slight smirk on his face.
"Yeah... well, I'll take my chances," he replies amiably. He isn't a chain smoker by any means, but it helped take the edge off when he got too stressed. Besides, if a BOW doesn't kill him first, he doubts a cigarette now and then will.
It isn't long before they pull off into a mostly empty lot. This bar is a quiet place, no loud music, no teens with fake IDs. It is the type of bar where you can sit and think without too many distractions.
Leading the way in, they are greeted by soft piano music.
Leon shrugs and returns his attention to the outside, smiling softly. “Whatever you say.”
He looks around the bar after they arrive and walk in, nodding to himself. “Nice place. Quiet,” he observes as he follows Chris. He’s glad to be in a calm environment like this, as he’s never been one for clubs. He does want to catch up with Chris, after all.
"That's the best thing about it," he says, stopping at the bar. The bartender, a well-dressed man, finishes polishing a glass and hurries over to him.
"What will it be, gentlemen?"
"Rum and coke." Chris slides his card across the counter to him. "Put his order on it, too." He jerks a thumb in Leon's direction.
"Right. What will it be, handsome?" The man turns a flirtatious look on Leon. Chris can't help but stifle a snort of laughter; Leon really is a pretty guy.
Leon sits down at the bar with Chris, still looking around and taking the place in.
He’s about to object to Chris and say he can pay for his own drink, until the bartender speaks to him. He looks at the man, eyes wide and a slight blush on his cheeks. He coughs into his fist, trying to compose himself.
“Uh, whiskey, neat,” he mutters, still blushing. He’s never gotten used to being flirted with.
"Looks like you have a fan, Leon," Chis grins, resting his cheek in a hand. He can't deny the bartender's good taste. And Leon's blush begs for teasing.
The drinks are made promptly and slid to them. Leon's comes with a wink and a phone number scrawled on a napkin. Chris stifles another laugh. "Come on, Vinnie. Give the guy a break."
Leon rolls his eyes and looks down at the bar. “Yeah yeah,” he says dismissively. He’s never found himself terribly attractive, couldn’t tell why anyone would be into him.
Leon picks up his drink once it’s brought to him, his blush deepening when he gets winked at. He nods his thanks, eyes widening slightly when he sees the number scrawled on the napkin.
He throws his whole drink back, not caring if Chris comments on the action.
Another is slid to Leon when he finishes his first. Vinnie gives him a break from his flirting to go back to polishing glasses.
"Take it easy on this one," Chris warns, realizing he will be the designated driver whether he wants to be or not. He elbows him lightly before sipping his own drink. The lime slices decorating the rim of his glass make Chris, such an imposing man, look a little more approachable... and fruity, but Chris doesn't seem to care.
"So... uh..." The pair never hung out much outside of work, so he isn't sure where to take their conversation.
Leon chuckles, gently elbowing Chris back. “Alright, fine.” He picks up his glass and sips his drink, glancing at Chris to make sure the man sees that he’s behaving.
He takes a look at Chris’s drink — he’s a little tempted to comment on it, but he decides against it. He looks away once the man speaks.
“Yeah, um..,” he trails off, not sure what to talk about. He’s not sure why, but the first thing that pops into his head is to ask about Chris’s love life. He’s only had one glass of whiskey, but maybe he can use it as an excuse for bringing up the subject.
“So how’s your love life? Got anyone, or interested in anybody?” Leon asks, a bit fast before he can change his mind. He ignores the temptation to chug the rest of his drink, settling for sipping some more of it.

Leon blushes as he looks down. “I’ll take the vacation, considering my last one got interrupted. And therapy’s not for me.”
He bites his lip, crossing his arms over his chest. “What makes you think I need Chris? I mean I like the guy, I don’t mind seeing him. I enjoy his company. But… what do you mean by that?”
