Term 3, week four: Take a walk in the sun.
One more week until submissions; the final push. I’m really tired but I’ve got to get through this. Almost there.

Maybe I should change the name of this theme to "Garden of Time" just to hop on the met gala bandwagon 🌝
I thought it's such a waste that the packaging sticker for washi tapes that I bought would be thrown away, so I repurposed them for this spread here! And it sets the colour scheme for each week of this month.

Term 3, week three: Things are what you make of them.
In the blink of an eye it has become summer. The few days of sunshine over the past week had been really helpful — they were a much needed mood lifter.
Continuing to work towards submissions and finding out my preferred way to make drawings. Discovering the right personal workflow is always the hardest part, but once you get there everything seems to flow much better.

Term 3, week two: Give the world more love.
Made some progress in drawings but sitting at the desk all day really gets to you sometimes.
Some other things: enjoyed a lecture on conservation; checked out a newly renovated campus building by a much beloved hand; had my monthly volunteering on the sunniest day in a while; frolicked in a lush garden; and savoured some delightful Art Deco train stations.
Even if the skies are mostly grey and dreary, I try to remind myself of all the little things I am blessed with and my endless gratitude for them. To have love in your heart is a great source of strength.

She blooms yet again in Spring
Starting a new series called "Flowers for Strong Women" because it's spring (absolutely groundbreaking).
Here's something from a while back that I forgot to post
Back to Childhood: Starburst
What's better than colourful paper stars? My aunt taught me how to make them when I was little, and I was quite bad at it. I tended to squish the stars too much when folding and so they wouldn't puff up.

Term 3, week one: Let’s get going.
A little under a month towards final submissions. For the next week it’s pumping out more drawings. In all honesty I’m feeling the stress but trying to focus on getting through it (and actually getting on with work).
Not enough time to do anything relaxing so reading and making more illustrations are keeping me going. I’ve enjoyed using mealtime to do some of these things — it makes eating feel more productive and that I’m using the time for something good.
