ATTENTION KOEI FANDOM

A group of us thought it might be a good idea to start a battle event to bring more spice to the dash. It would mean you get to possibly meet/role play with characters you have always wanted to role play with or whatever. How this works is still being decided. This battle event means it takes time and patience for replies so if you are not patient this might not be for you! Please message silencedoblivion if you happen to be interested. Dynasty Warriors AND Samurai Warriors can participate. OC’s of either are also allowed.

She clutched at her abdomen, struggling to stay on her feet as she looked up at him. In the thick of battle, she had been unable to feel just how heavy her wounds were, but now the pain coursed forth a thousandfold. Her breathing was ragged, blood spilling from her lips as she struggled to find an answer to those words.

It was over. There was no point in lying to herself. Even the object of her hatred was now forever lost to her. All because she had given her life here… for a cause.

His cause.

"I’m sorry…" Even as she stumbled and fell, she desperately reached toward him. "I did all I could…"

She wondered if her family could forgive her, knowing that she had failed to avenge them… but was it so wrong to have given everything for the sake of an end to the chaos, a land free from strife, one where no one would have to suffer as she did?

All these questions seemed unimportant as her consciousness gradually faded.

Whether Wang Yi died as a brave general of Wei or as a simple, pathetic woman who had failed even to exact the vengeance she sought remained for the rest of the world to decide.

In her final moments, she just wanted to have a happy dream for once.

     So last month I reached 150 and didn’t get around to doing anything, but I figured I’d make something to express how much I appreciate the people I’ve met thus far. ♥

     This account is a couple months old, but I have been on tumblr for a few years now and though I left due to past drama, I definitely do not regret returning. There have been amazing friends made (and love eeheehee uwu), some I’ve reunited with and still some who I’ve yet to interact with, but my goodness are you all wonderful. There’s so much creativity I see all over my dash, so many unique characters and the way they are portrayed are all so different from each other. I feel the passion put into them and I can’t help but smile.      …Also you all tolerate me, so props to you guys for that as well.

The forerunner always struck her as a curious man. As one of Cao Cao's earliest allies, he had served under Wei's banner far longer than she had, yet he still felt the need to defer to her. However, for the sake of refining her own skills, she could not have asked for a better training partner than him.

An Inebriated Dream

Kenshin wasn’t quite sure what to make of the surroundings. They were warm, fluffy- it was as if they were in the clouds. What was odder is that Kasuga- in a rather unusual looking bright pink kimono- was with him. No matter what they tried… she simply wouldn’t respond. Humming with concern, the warlord looked around… before they saw an armored figure approaching the both of them. 

"… ah… hello?" Kenshin asked with some apprehension.

Such an ethereal place... Wang Yi knew she must have been dreaming, but there was no fire or blood, no sound of screams to haunt her until dawn. That, alone, was enough to set her at ease. The figures ahead of her were distinctly unfamiliar; even their manner of dress struck her as foreign, and she was caught between curiosity and uneasiness, wondering what such an odd vision might signify.

"... Am I interrupting something?" She had a hand clutched to her chest, as if unsure how to approach the situation.

With victory came much feasting, and with feasting came much wine. Indeed, for Wang Yi and her drinking partner across the table, the endeavor of drinking oneself into oblivion was far from uncharted territory. In her alcoholic haze, the general couldn’t possibly think too hard about where Ruolan had wandered off to find a flower, or why she’d decided to drop it off in her hair. Only one thought came to be voiced.

"Y.. you put it on askew…"

The feeling of a flower being pinned in her hair didn't surprise her as much as the sight of who had offered it. Cao Pi... the young phoenix, the lord she was to answer to one day. He always struck her as a cold youth, one consumed by his obligations, and she never would have expected such a tender gesture from him. Perhaps there was more to him than met the eye. Still, he was an important man – a dangerous one, too – and it left her at a bit of a loss as to how to respond.

((Ogosh I can see it. She was also there in Yuan's death scene so she gets Ba really. And Ba was a ball of wrath and anger for months after his death too because of it --))

// Interesting how she doesn't say anything in the cutscene, just looks over Yuan's corpse and nods silently to Zhang He (probably because Mr. Fabulous was handling things like a boss already).

My line of thought is that, knowing the gravity of such a situation intimately, she didn't feel what she might have said in the moment could change anything. But she definitely might have reached out to him later on.

In her dreams, she sees everything taken from her all over again. When she wakes, she is terrified of all the myriad ways she might fail to exact her vengeance. Even in those rare moments where she feels truly strong again, as if she could take on the world, one question remains unanswered: once she has snuffed out his life, what will remain of hers?

Even if she wins in the end, none of the pain she has endured can be taken back. The scars he has left her with will never heal. He has ruined her.
