Alyssia flew with great speed to to castle’s entrance. She soon landed at its doorstep, her white fur overcome by black. Her eyes solid red as she stood at her full height. A deep rumble echoed from her as she reached to the door.
Before she could touch the entrance, vines creeped quickly up and down the door, blocking her path. A sickly sweet voice sounded right behind her.
"Golly, that's a lot of anger rolling of ya friend." Flowey grinned up at the Guardian, a slight bounce in his stem from where he had sprout from.
"Howdy, I'm Flowey. Flowey the Flower." He said with a wink. All the while, the vines grew thicker around the door.
"Now, what can I do for ya...Miss..?"
Desolate. That was the only word she could use to describe the area. A woman's sole footsteps echoed around an empty hallway, through purple stones crawling with vines, as though no one had used these structures in ages. She pushed through a pair of stone doors, shivering at the cold that nipped through her as she left the deserted area behind, the door now left open for the frigid winds. She hadn't even seen a single person thus far...
Sans was bored, pure and simple. He was tired of just lazing about at the house that he decided to take a walk towards the ruins door just for old times sake. His slippers crunched in the snow as he passed by Doggo’s old sentry staion, taking a moment to run his boney fingers over the counter. A sigh escaped his throat as he continued on.
It had been at least a month since the “demon from above” was beaten, letting the denizens of the Underground to at least breathe easy…at least what was left of them. Sans himself was the only one left in Snowdin, so he was starved for company…and yet he wasn’t.
A strange crunching noise that was shoes on snow shook him out of his thoughts. Instinctively, he ducked into the thick woods next to the path, hiding his presence. No one should be here…right?
he peeked around the tree he was hiding behind to see a human girl. His eye started to flash involuntarily, a fire lighting up in his gut. “Not another one.” He took a step…and broke a branch with a loud SNAP.
“Hey now, any hotter and you’ll make me so comfy I’ll fall asleep.” He chuckled as he also listened for the upcoming event. It was a joke and the truth at the same time, he really was comfortable around her. She really didn’t have any ill intent and in all honesty, that made him happy. It had been too long since he had genuinely enjoyed someone else’s company, much less heat radiating off that person. It waa just a plus that she was cute too.
“I appreciate you comin Wrenne…” he started as he heard the snow crunching outside the stand. He held a finger up to silence her. He adjusted his position so he could see over the counter, not paying attention to where his hand landed as the other grasped the counter. All he knew was that it was soft and plushy feeling.
“Hey kid, my bro is coming and he really wants to catch a human. Quick, hide behind this conveniently shaped lamp.”
The other Sans spoke to someone and Sans smiled. There they were.
“Okay, peek out a little…”
Well, at least he seemed to be comfortable around her… The moment the other started moving, she was snapped out of her daze. Coat unzipped, she listened for whatever Sans seemed to be seeking. However, most of the words were drowned out at the unintentional grab. Did… did he really just…?
She instinctively swatted the hand away from her chest before clumsily stumbling to a squat to look. Her face was now a deep burgundy red, unable to get the blood to stop pounding in her head in order to actually listen to what was going on. Sure, she saw it, and sound entered her ears, but it barely registered overall.
She barely had enough strength to grab the table and keep herself from falling over. How humiliating…
Sans winced at the slap and looked down at her bewildered as she too popped her head up to see. Her face had changed to a deep red for seemingly no apparent reason. He shrugged it off as her just being really cold. It really wasn’t hard to figure out since she seemed to be losing her balance. He snaked his arm around he back to steady her, inadvertently once more grasping plushy flesh. Had he not been so absorbed with the scene in front of them, he would have noticed he had once again grasped her chest.
This world’s Papyrus seemed to be confronting his Sans about lazing about and paying no mind to the child hidden behind a truly conveniently shaped lamp. Paps bemoaned his brother’s incompetence and stormed off, leaving that Sans alone with the child again.
‘See that kiddo,’ he whispered. ‘They are important to everything that happens to this world.’
He droned on about the child, still unaware of his unfortunate hand placement that was sure to not be tolerated for much more.
The woman once again slapped his hand away, now getting too flustered to be able to really tolerate such mistakes. With the way he was talking, it was obvious that he had no idea what he was doing. At least, not to her. “D-d-do you mind!?” She hissed, face still red, arms protectively over her chest in a way that signaled -exactly- what he had done to fluster her so. “I don’t appreciate that, not one bit! Please… for my sake, watch where you grab…”
She moved slightly away from him, but not too far- just enough to be sure he didn’t accidentally grab her in that manner again. She poked her head over the side to peek at what Sans was talking about. “Them? The child, you mean?” It was hard for her to read the expression on the child’s face. Or was there even an expression? She could see a light puff or two of what seemed to be powdery substance on their clothes… snow perhaps? She didn’t know of anything else that could cause such a stain on clothes- unless maybe they’d also come from the ruins?
"What are y...." then he understood. His face turned a deep shade of blue as his eyebrows (?) Knitted in an apologetic face.
'I'm sooooo sorry Wrenne...' he hissed silently, embarrassment in his words. He shook his head mentally and followed her gaze to the child. As Papyrus yelled, he noticed the dust on the child's clothing hiding behind the lamp. He was bewildered, had he taken Wrenne to a dangerous timeline? No...the kid was playing along...that meant they weren't totally monsterous. Still.
"We...we shouldn't be here." He breathed as his eye crackled. Before Wrenne knew it, she was teleported along with him to the Glider. The skeleton sighed.
"I really am sorry about my...my hand placement." He sighed as he took his seat and patted the one next to him.

“I meant as in do not lie to me when we talk.” She started as they left the lab. Her wings opened up and she flew up into the sky. “How many…how many children has HE killed?”
Alphys choked back a gasp at the question. It was a terrible subject and to bring it up now. Considering Alyssia was in no mood to hear excuses, her eyes looked down at the scenery of Waterfall looming into view.
“S….six…the…the barrier that keeps us locked down here requires 7 human souls to break…”
The snarl she let out was completely feral and a deep growl shook in her chest. Alyssia soon landed in front of Sans’ house and let Alphys down before opening the door, practically crushing the doorknob in her grasp. She laid Sans down in the fur blankets and just stood there, staring silently. Her fists were clenched tight enough that her claws were digging into her own hands, causing some blood to drip down her fingers.
Alphys cautiously approached the enraged Guardian, slowly so she didn’t get too close to the woman’s angry aura. Her reaction was not unexpected, but the way she stared…it unnerved her.
“King Asgore didn’t have much choice…the monsters called for blood…he was just…just trying to keep his people safe…” she spoke in a small voice, her hands wringing nervously, ready to flinch at any outburst.
Her sharpening teeth clenched together before she turned around and headed for the door. “If you monsters called for the blood of innocent CHILDREN…then perhaps you all should suffer the same punishment I am about to give your King.”
She grabbed the doorknob and nearly ripped the door from the wall as she left. Outside her wings spread wide open. Nothing was going to stop her from what she was about to do. Her mind was far too gone in the darkness of her rage.
Before Alphys could react, Alyssia was gone in a blinding rage. She waddled to the door and was only greeted by snowfall.
"Not good!!" She wheezed as she hurried to Sans' side. She knelt down next him and shook his shoulders, trying to rouse him from his sleep.
"Sans!!!! Wake up now! Your girlfriend is gonna go kill Asgore! SANS, WAKE UP!!!"
She yelled and shook him more, but to no avail.
-------------------------
Sans laid there motionless. He felt a little lighter, but the movements he did make were still sluggish.
"Just let me sleep"
A faint sort of yelling came from no where. He recognized it as Alphys, but she sounded so far away. He wanted to get up and find her, but his body simply refused to move more than a few inches.
"Sleep...." he mumbled...
---------------------------------
'Tch, why must he always water those flowers...they're an eyesore...' he thought as he stayed rooted to the Hall of Judgement floor. He was entertaining himself while his father puttered around the garden down the hall. As much as the strange empty empty feeling of love he had for his estranged father, Flowey was always a sourpuss when Asgore paid more attention to the garden.
Ever since that smiley trashbag disposed of Chara and took thiwr soul, Flowey had lost his will to toy with the timeline. Oh sure, he still liked to cause trouble, but he spent most of his time with Asgore whenever he was in the castle. He couldn't really feel the feelings...but he wanted to at least try to mend the ties with Asgore as best he could.
"Sigh...nothing to do...nothing t..." the Golden Flower stopped when he felt the immense power fast approaching. He turned towards it, a sense of fear maybe washed over him. "Wha...what is that?! I've never felt anything like this!" He ducked underground and manuvered through the soil until he came just outside the gates to the castle.
Whatever it was, it was going to have to meet him first.
Desolate. That was the only word she could use to describe the area. A woman's sole footsteps echoed around an empty hallway, through purple stones crawling with vines, as though no one had used these structures in ages. he peeked around the tree he was hiding behind to see a human girl. His eye started to flash involuntarily, a fire lighting up in his gut. “Not another one.” He took a step…and broke a branch with a loud SNAP.
A single boney finger raised up as he gave her a cheerful smile. “Nuh uh, no feeling bad for little old me. It makes me happy to know that Paps is at least alive in some form or another, even if it is in another timeline.”
He then turned and began to follow after where the other skelebro’s where headed off to. His hand raised up slightly and waved for her to follow. “Come on, if you want to see something interesting, we better not lose them…just keep hidden in the trees.”
Wrenne nodded and followed the other, being careful not to slip up on any of the many ice puddles. What else were the two going to do? Such a shame, if only… whatever had happened… hadn’t happened to this Sans, as the case were. She would have loved to actually meet the taller skeleton. He looked… huggable. If a skeleton could be huggable.
Her hand instinctively grasped his as she tried to keep up, more for anchoring herself than need for him, but the touch felt nice anyway. It was something firm to hold onto in this world where she was afraid to interact with anything at all.
He chuckled as he squeezed her hand back as he led her down the path in the treeline. His eye crackled slightly as he activated another portal that led them to a small cliffside. He turned to her and held up a finger to his lips, silently quieting her.
‘Just a little more…’ he whispered, leading her to a small wooden stand sitting in a clearing. Looking down the path, he was satisfied that the coast was clear. His movements quickened, pulling her into a small hiding spot under the stand. The close quarters were a little cramped, but they were easily hidden.
‘Now we wait.’ He whispered.
“Woah!” The woman yelped as she was pulled under the stand, hiding in the area with him. Cramped, but somehow it didn’t feel uncomfortable. Watching the snowfall, hearing the cold silence… it was incredibly peaceful. But not like the previous area, where Sans lived. This was a calmer type of peaceful, instead of the dreary dead silence back… there.
The woman instinctively cuddled up closer to the skeleton, trying to keep warm despite the layer of snow they were sitting on. She had to push a ketchup bottle out of the way, her warmth seeping towards him. What a nice place to stop and catch one’s breath.
Sans was more than happy to accommodate Wrenne’s cuddle, earning her a blushed smile as he looked away from her. To be honest, they probably could have just stayed in the treeline and have been equally hidden, even moreso. But Sans wasn’t too dumb, he could tell Wrenne liked to be close. Who was he to not oblige? Her body heat radiated off of her in soothing licks on his side, she might as well have been a warm breeze. In the freezing temperatures, he was happy to be next to her.
“Hey you, you cute miniature sun, what with the toasty hugs?” He smiled his trademark grin at her.
“Eh–?!” Wrenne had never been able to take flirting with grace- and this was one of those times that it really showed. “I-I just… thought you might be cold, was all.” She’d been around long enough to tell, beyond that, that loneliness was as horrible a condition as physical pain for extended periods. And how lonely must Sans have been, especially given how he looked at this other place, at what could have been… what should have been.
She listened for the others approaching as he asked, turning away with her face a nice shade of cherry red. Of course, the embarrassment only made her body hotter with flustered emotion.
"Hey now, any hotter and you'll make me so comfy I'll fall asleep." He chuckled as he also listened for the upcoming event. It was a joke and the truth at the same time, he really was comfortable around her. She really didn't have any ill intent and in all honesty, that made him happy. The other Sans spoke to someone and Sans smiled. There they were.
"Okay, peek out a little..."
Darkness…that was all he knew. Everything that had happened seemed to have been blurred until there was nothing but darkness. His limbs were heavy, couldn’t budge an inch. The air that he inexplicably breathed was as if he were breathing through a thick blanket. All he could do was lay there…and wait for the inevitable…but what was that? He didn’t know.
—————————————–
Alphys was still cowering in the corner of the room, not daring to tear her eyes off of the Guardian before her. Fear seemed to take root in the yellow scientists mind, but there was also a hint of morbid curiosity of Sans’ savior. Her lips trembled as she finally took her eyes off Alyssia and drifted down to the unconscious crumpled hoodie that was her adoptive brother Sans. He hadn’t burst into dust yet, so she was relieved of that, but her worry stuck with her. Would he be okay?
“Is….is he alright?” She found the words leaving her throat in a hushed sob. She realized that there were streams of tears that had started to roll down her cheeks, but she didn’t seem to care.
@thefirevoltdemons
Alyssia’s form still hadn’t returned to normal. Her anger still seethed within her soul, fueling Dark’s presence. The Guardian had taken great pleasure in tearing Chara’s soul to ribbons. Her own soul was back within Sans’ body.
All eyes shifted to Alphys when she spoke. She then looked down at the unconscious skeleton. After a bit she reverted back to her normal form.
“Light…”
€Understood…€
The darkness around Sans soon became brighter as a voice spoke to him. €Sans…do you hear me?€
The inky blackness that enveloped Sans seemed to brighten a little, much to his surprise. He tried to move towards the melodic noise of a voice, but his movements were still sluggish. Tired…so tired. He felt he could sleep forever if it weren’t getting so bright around him. All he could manage was a quiet answer
“5 more minutes Paps…Calibrating puzzles is hard work and I’m bone tired”
———————
Alphys watched as Alyssia regained her normal form, at least normal for her. She felt a little braver now as she got up from her corner and slowly approached the pair, her movement stilted. When Sans murmered to himself, she felt fresh tears start to well up. She waddled over as fast as she could and knelt next to the skeleton, forgetting Alyssia was standing there.
“You lazybones! Get up this instant!” She chided her friend. Although he looked like he was still unconcious, the gentle up and down of his shirt proved that he was still breathing.
‘Thank the Delta Rune!’
€He’ll be alright.€ Light’s voice echoed in her mind. €He just requires rest.€
The Guardian knelt, looking at his face for a few minutes before sighing and looking at Alphys.
“Let us return to the house. I have had enough of this…repulsive place.”
Alphys jerked back from her gaze on Sans and trained her eyes on Alyssia. She wiped the tears from her eyes and nodded.
“Yes, let’s…um…would you mind carying him?”
She stole a glance at the now wrecked Glider and sighed. “Oh, all that hard work. At least he’s okay…”
She picked up Sans in one arm then Alphys in the other, easily holding both of them.
“I would have done MUCH worse to it if it was still functional.” She glared at Alphys. “There is much we need to talk about when we get back. And it would be VERY WISE not to lie to me anymore.”
the dino monster squeeked as she was effortlessly lifted into the air under the larger woman's arm. The slight blush that had started to form slowly drained away.
"Lie? Whe...when did I lie?" She asked in a small tone.
Desolate. That was the only word she could use to describe the area.

"Yes, let's...um...would you mind carying him?"
She stole a glance at the now wrecked Glider and sighed. "Oh, all that hard work. At least he's okay..."
'Just a little more...' he whispered, leading her to a small wooden stand sitting in a clearing. Looking down the path, he was satisfied that the coast was clear. His movements quickened, pulling her into a small hiding spot under the stand. The close quarters were a little cramped, but they were easily hidden.
'Now we wait.' He whispered.
