Well it ain't the first one
The feeling that a phantom limb is "cold" is so odd to me. Like, my proprioception says that my tail does not fit under my blanket. So it feels cold. I wish I could just curl it under the blanket with me and warm it up.
Maybe if I had a faux tail my phantom tail would align its percieved position with it? Is there any research about this sort of thing for people with physical limb losses, perhaps who now have prosthetics?
Did this art in exchange for a hatchling on Flight Rising ^^
I definitely overpaid but I rarely do rendered artworks and I wanted it to look nice.
The hatchling I traded for:
I might do art of this hatchling too, just because I think it would be fun

I've been thinking about how different my digital and traditional art styles are.
Over the years I've mainly done digital art, due to the medium not needing resources other than your device and any accessories/software you use. I've developed a style with it, though I'm not entirely happy with it yet. It feels too clean, not lively enough.
On the other hand, I've done some painting and such, mainly for art classes. I don't do traditional art often, because of the cost, messiness, and setup. However, my style when I paint is very different to how I draw digitally. I paint much looser, and like to take advantage of the texture and slight unpredictability of paint. I like how much more life the imperfection gives to the art.
I want to try to bring that into my digital art style as well. I just don't know how to do that. I would appreciate if anyone has tips or recomendations. I use Clip Studio Paint EX (v1) on my drawing tablet.
I'm thinking of maybe trying to do some styles digitally that I would usually do traditionally. I should try some new things. Maybe I'll try to replicate my digital style in traditional and see how that goes, might provide some insight. It would just be a little harder because I use layers a lot.
People seem to like my hands, so, here’s my first "tutorial", tackling my approach on how to draw and construct hands! I hope to do more of these, and that next one will dive into hand gestures and applying it with this structure.
Hope you find this helpful! :D
