My favorite female character: Nakiri Erina
This is gonna be a pretty long post so I'll be breaking it down to 4 parts.
1. I loved her right from chapter 2/episode 2. She was perfect right from then. Her being a tsundere but not exactly the typical kind of tsundere.
She was the most confident and her skills spoke for themselves. I didn't really mind her failing Soma cause I found it funny and it fit with her character. I didn't find it to be "bitchy" or whatever. And Soma was being a smug dude anyways.
And her soft side is just HEAVEN. OH GOD. Isn't she just the fucking best marshmallow. Love the way her face just melts with embarrassment whenever she interacts with Soma. And even before Azami comes, she was starting to warm up to Soma. And the Azami arc just accelerated that.
2. And many people didn't like the overly mellow and bashful Erina during the Azami arc. I personally enjoyed it cause we got to know about her backstory and hardships and it's good to see this side of her. And her backstory still makes me cry. The way it was drawn and narrated was too heartbreaking. And then after all that, she decided to ground herself and return the love the PSD people gave her for her PTSD (haha). And she worked so hard to teach them all about Hokkaido.
Just look at her. She's ADORABLE.
3. Now I'm gonna ignore all the sorina cause I'm talking about Erina but there's one scene which I can't ignore. The train scene. She ADMITS that she's not annoyed by Soma's antics anymore and that "it's not so bad". NO NORMAL TSUNDERE SAYS THAT. And I loved Erina so much more after she said that. She's becoming more and more honest.
Now. Before the RdC everyone got expelled and she let go of all her pride and CRIED for everyone who got expelled and begged her dad to rescind that. It shows how much she cares about all of them.

4. RdC. Fucking Erina shined in this brighter than a fucking blazar. And blazars are supposed to be the brightest things in the universe. We FINALLY got to see her cook. And her confidence, calmness, anger was PERFECT. It was everything I wanted to see from her and more.
She's really my favorite female SnS character and my favorite female character in all of anime.
HYPE
Erina naming her dish after Megumi was perfect to take revenge from Momo. The team battle was perfect cause the dynamic between Soma and Erina was chaotically perfect. I can say so much more. But I have to end it somewhere.
