⎛ A long time ago, mankind once lived among the magical creatures of the world. Everyone coexisted in harmony. However, as times developed and humanity progressed, the human population grew and the concept of hierarchies, social classes, and power structures emerged. The notion of 'low' and 'high' status became ingrained in society.
The Fey, however, staunchly refused to adhere to this human construct. They believed in equality and equality for all, and opposed the idea of hierarchical structure. The Fey, determined to protect their way of life, eventually rose up in rebellion against the humans. Despite their courage and determination, they were ultimately outnumbered and overpowered by the human forces.
In the present time, some of the more humanoid Fey began to gain acceptance and tolerance within human society. While prejudice and biases still existed, there was a growing recognition and understanding of their presence. Society, driven by curiosity and progress, slowly opened up to the idea of co-existing with these magical beings.
Yet despite the progress, complete acceptance proved elusive. Prejudice and skepticism still clung to some elements of society, resisting the idea of fully embracing Fey folk. Some humans continued to harbor mistrust and fear, creating barriers that hindered full integration.
Some Fey are able to choose which soulmate they want if their sign has not been manifested yet. Recent sightings have shown that some Fey have been linked with ordinary humans. One special trait that Fey have that humans do not is that they are able to get a soulmate. Soulmate marks can be formed differently, it can be written on their skin, seen in their dreams, connected by a string and so on.
