âThey/themâ Hope you have a good day!!â Currently love: Gachiakuta & Dispatch If youâre interested, you can see me reblog a bunch of good stuff at @vee-likes !
Thinking about that one scene in episode 8 where everyone is coming to terms with the fact that they may be stuck in the circus forever and Zooble talks about how they had dreams and wanted to make a change in the world and Gangle reassured them, saying that they made a change in her life. Anyway, I immediately jumped into saying âomg abstragedy moment!!!â And yes thatâs cute amazing great accurate. But I also just realized that Gangle wanted to reassure them because she knows what itâs like to abandon your dreams of impacting the world, based on episode 4 at least, in favor of taking the shittier path and how much it sucks to make that choice. She got to be the person she needed for someone else. Slight tangent but with Gangle ending episode 4 returning to drawing, maybe it aludes to how everyone in the circus, especially Zooble, can find a new purpose in their lives after accepting their reality.
I feel like a lot of creatives are worried about sharing their creations because of how much they care about them and the fear that comes with receiving, maybe not outright rejection, but silence. After all, thereâs so many other sources of âcontentâ that someone can find compared to one creative with only so much time.
Even with the encouragement to create I so often see online, itâs still hard to put something out there and not worry. Especially after seeing what everyone else creates and beginning to worry about originality but thatâs a whole other issue.
Maybe Iâm just projecting :P
Anyways, I say this as a way to introduce my OCs! Haha gotcha! Or at least some of the thoughts I had while making them.
Theyâre basically the Seven Deadly Sins troupe but looking at the corresponding virtues rather than the sins. I wanted to see what makes that troupe so enjoyable and see if it could translate to the virtues.
I love how the Seven Deadly Sins are often used to examine different aspects of humanity and morality and wanted to integrate that into my characters.
But I also wanted to deviate from the more supernatural elements of heaven, hell, creation, god, and stuff (think Luciferâs fall or stories that follow the timeline of the bible) and incorporate what we know about the real world. I think the âstoryâ weâve discovered through science is just as interesting as the ones often used in religion and media.
Iâve had a blast using these characters to humanize the idea of âcreationâ and the idea of morality. Theyâre just a few angels who were given the opportunity to make something and chose to make the universe and life.
To connect this back to before, I love creating. I love when others create and others enjoy it. Whatever happens after you doodle an anime character in the margins is wonderful, whether it stays there forever, a mark of you, or itâs shared with others. Creating is very cool and I like to think itâs reflected in how the virtues carefully craft the universe.
This got a lot more philosophical than I anticipated whoops. Anyways I had fun writing this so yay
Having OCs is so weird because Iâm sitting here with these little people in my head in a little world also in my head that no one else knows about but if given the opportunity I would talk about them for hours.
