Hi here I am, trying to explain how I think astrology can connect to the Hogwarts house that you got sorted into, please feel free to reblog this with your house and how you feel like it fits or doesn’t fit your astrological placements
Each zodiac sign is ruled by an element, and so is each Hogwarts house, here’s why these are connected:
Air- Ravenclaw, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Just like the air signs Ravenclaws are intellectual and logical. this knowledge makes them professionals at communicating and making sure that they are liked. Their presence is like a cool breeze, speaking to them clears your mind and they can make you see things from a whole different perspective, it’s refreshing. Their charm might make them come off as snobby (which they are not). They are dreamers and might feel like their mind isn’t in their own body sometimes, this can make them detach their thoughts from their feelings.
Water- Slytherin, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
This one surprises a lot of people who aren’t that much into astrology, cause they see Slytherin as this house of cruel people and the water signs as the crybabies of the zodiac. But actually, this element connects them cause these people are slow to trust others. Those ruled by water are secretive and prefer to keep their emotions (mostly the bad ones) to themselves until it forms this big rain cloud, it will release its rain and thunder as soon as you cross them. Their favorite way to get their revenge is by causing the victim emotional pain, cause in the end, that’s how they have been wronged first.
Fire- Gryffindor, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Unlike the water element, this one will probably make sense to you right away. The gryffindor and fire sign people have a burning passion that makes them stand out. Like fire they move quick and go wherever they want to go themselves. These people like to lead and have a natural talent for it as they take on whatever life throws at them. They are very courageous, brave and dramatic and they do not fear the idea of taking risks, especially if it could possibly make them seem like the hero
Earth- Hufflepuff, Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
These earth people value structure and tend to look for it in all the parts of live, even if it doesn’t exist there. They like to stay fully on the ground with both feet and let their roots grow deep into the ground. They work hard and are dependable, but because of their often introverted nature they tend to not realize when they let people rely on them a little too much. They also don’t always get the recognition that they deserve, this is only because they don’t like to brag and by the time that they completed one job they’re already onto the next one.
Just like each sign has been assigned an element they have also been assigned a modality. Clearly not every earth sign will be a Hufflepuff and not every fire sign will be a Gryffindor. These modalities give us another look at why you got sorted into your specific house.
