My ocs, Misty and Tori. In the first few months of knowing each other, Misty often came back from illegal werewolf fights which would leave her covered in cuts and bruises, as well as the blood of those she fought. She did this firstly, to make money, but even more, to cope with her trauma of being a soldier in a werewolf pack civil war which lasted into her twenties. There was an addiction she had to the thrill of fighting; it was her only outlet for her grief for a long time. It took a while before Misty realized what kind of mindset the werewolf fights put her into, and the pain it caused Tori to see her return home in the middle of the night covered in blood, not knowing how much of it was her’s.

And regardless of how hurt it made Tori to see Misty hurt, she was always there to make sure she was clean and bandaged. It took a while for Misty to appreciate it, because she was so stuck in reliving her trauma. Tori wasn’t looking to be thanked for what she did for Misty, she just wanted to stop seeing Misty hurt. And Misty knew that. And eventually she stopped. And she realized how much she wanted to spend her life with Tori, and learn to move forward.
