October Just One Word Book Photo Challenge Day 3: Signed

These are a few of the books I have signed! I think it’s awesome to have signed copies of some of my favourite books. As you know, Outlander is one of those life-changing books, at least for me. I was so excited when she was doing a signing the weekend after I graduated from university in 2014 (in the same city as my school). I waited in line for hours with other fans and it was fun. Every fan was whisked in and out for an autograph and a picture really quickly after the Q&A. Chatting with other fans was nice. I’ve met Kelley Armstrong twice and each time she was absolutely lovely. The first time was when I was in high school and I was reading her Darkest Powers trilogy. The second time she did a reading and signing at my university. Not a lot of book signings happen in Canada, so when they do and it’s an author whose work I really like it’s a big deal.

I loooooved this series. I was in the 6th grade when I read it and all my 7th grade I was obssesed with it 😅 It was my beginnig as a reader 📚 Now I don’t know if I’d enjoy this series as much as I did then 🙊

Just finished the DUFF by Kody Keplinger and I really liked it… even is some parts just annoyed me (i honestly don’t like Bianca that much 😝). After all, i gave it 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 on Goodreads 😉

Hey Kelley! I just finished the Age of Legends trilogy and OMG I LOVED it!!!! Do you think that you'll ever add to this series? I'd love to see the future of the gang, how they all turn out around 20 years after everything.

Kelley Armstrong I would love to write more. I did hope to continue beyond the trilogy, maybe with a couple of standalone adventures for the characters but, uh, sales weren't as strong as for my other series, so my publisher wanted it wrapped up at three. Someday I may do more on my own!

Hi Kelley. I absolutely adore Women of the Otherworld, and I must say that one of my all time favourite moments was in Stolen when Elena makes the Buffy Initiative reference. I was just wondering if you had to get any kind of special permission to reference the show? And if someone were to make a reference to one of your books/characters would they need to get permission? Love your work!

Kelley Armstrong Referencing a character or show or book doesn't require any special permission. It's only a problem if someone wanted to have another person's actual character in their book. So, I can have Elena refer to Buffy as a TV character, but I couldn't actually have the character of Buffy appear in my work. Hope that makes sense!

I recently devoured the Cainsville series by Kelley Armstrong and was inspired to illustrate the three main characters as the tarot cards that represent them- Ricky as the King of Wands, Olivia as the Queen of Swords, and Gabriel as the King of Pentacles.
